L'Aquarium de Barcelona hosts 35 aquariums that are home to 11,000 animals representing 450 species. It is the largest Mediterranean-themed aquarium in the world.
A transparent tunnel in excess of 80 meters in length enables you to enjoy a spectacular walk underwater. You can explore the Oceanarium from below and experience the exhilarating feeling of discovering the Mediterranean as if you were walking along the sea floor, just inches away from sharks and other curious species.
Here, explore the oceanarium, where you can see giltheads, moray eels, ocean sunfish, rays and two types of shark: the sand tiger shark and the sandbar. Discover the Mediterranean aquariums and its two protected areas. You can also take a look at the tropical aquariums, where you will be able to see coral reefs. In the themed aquarium you will be surprised by the discovery of all the little species present in the sea such as seahorses, shark eggs, tropical corals, seadragons.
In the Planeta Aqua, you can observe in their middle living fossils, Humboldt penguin, piranhas, tropical turtles and iguanas.
