What To Expect
Following this immersion in traditional Barcelona, we approach the place of key change in the city. With the hosting of the Olympic Games, Barcelona opened itself up to the sea and experienced economic and social invigoration. What better way to immerse ourselves in era of change when you pass by the Olympic Village and the Olympic Port and then climb Montjuic to visit the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium, the Palau Sant Jordi and the Calatrava Tower.
Then visit El Poble Espanyol (the Spanish Village), collection of traditional buildings from all over Spain, demonstrating a selection of the handcrafts made in country. And what better way to end the visit than with an aerial view of Barcelona from the cable car, which brings us to Montjuic's Castle in 15 minutes.
Enjoy your lunch at Hard Rock Cafe then see the best of Barcelona as you visit Gaudi - one of the greatest innovators of his time. Leaving numerous treasures behind, you will surely enjoy knowing its history and culture behind these. Discover Sagrada Familia (Holy Family) as you take a walk in its exterior which is symbolically furnished and where the vaults reach up to seventy meters. Enjoy a 30 - minute visit at Gaudi's bizarre Parc Guell which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Then check out Paseo de Gracia to see Gaudi's famous apartment buildings such as La Pedrera and Casa Batllo**.
