This is fun to do and the view is amazing. Had a great time riding the horses through the valley.
We ended up being only people for the 5hr ride and our guide Alli was sweet and recognized our riding abilities immediately so gav...e us personality info on our 2 mounts and her horse and was then able to just give your info and stories without fretting over us as riders. The horses were in great condition for the mountainous terrain and went the dogged followers we kinda expected, few areas allowed us to trot briefly but so rocky, hard to do much else, yet in forest we were able to weave around on different paths! Horses drank at mountain streams along the way and we had a delicious farm to table lunch packed in for us and set up at the private waterfall. Alli allowed us almost a hour at the waterfall to eat, could have swam but too cold for us so we just got to be alone to enjoy such a gorgeous place! Then Alli came back and took pictures of us with the waterfall, then we remounted horses which had rested and headed back on different trails. Started raining and Alli offered us ponchos but we refused as have found we dont melt in Hawaiian rains so far as it has rained daily since we arrived! GREAT horseback tour, would highly recommend! more
As a family of 5 who had never riden horses the thought of the 5 hour trip was a bit scary. The guides were great in preparing us ...and especially helping our 10 year old get over her fear at the start. We all had a great time. The only down side was that we got a drizzily day and we didn't feel the need to swim under the waterfall. Rookies like us might want to consider the shorter ride. The last hour wore on us a bit. But we would do the 5 hour again. more
Staff was friendly and very entertaining! Views of Waipi'o Valley were amazing! Horses were easy to ride. Nice walk through t...he lush Big Island forests. We did the 2 1/2 hour ride, but next time we go, we'll do the 5 1/2 ride to the waterfall. Would definitely do this again. more
Our ride was awesome, Lex was a great guide, very informative and made the ride interesting. I would recommend this ride for all ...ages. Lex never made any of us feel like we were not able to do the ride, 2 out of the 3 of us were not horse experienced. more
Amazing experience, I was first timer on horse back and it was so easy and so much fun with adventure. I recommend it to every one... and specially the first timers. more
This activity was with one word: Amazing. I have never sat on a horse before, and I found the ride easy and pleasurable. The staff... was very competent and helpful, as well as a whole lot of fun. The horses were friendly and easy to ride, even for a first-timer. The vistas were spectacular, and this is definately a ride I would recommend to anyone interested in a great natural experience. more
My wife and I enjoyed the Waipio Ridge Horseback Ride. Roy and Les made the ride very enjoyable and were great hosts. Roy was espe...cially knowledgeable on the plants and history of the valley. We would recommend this ride to anyone that wants to see the beauty of Hawaii up close and virtually undisturbed. Thanks for a great time. Rick and Sharon Starr more
Best activity we did the entire trip!
My husband and I enjoyed a nine night vacation in Hawaii. We enjoyed every minute of it, but both agree that the Waipio Valley hor...seback riding tour which took us to the lagoon/waterfall was our favorite part of the entire trip. The guides were friendly and helped us learn from the surroundings. Roy was my favorite guide, as he would point out different flowers to identify them, passed out white ginger flowers for us to smell (yum!) and was funny and helpful. The horses are slow - especially mine (Parker B) who was slow the whole time and even slower when going downhill. The views of the valley were amazing. But my favorite part was the trip to the lagoon. It was beautiful and although the water was chilly, it was very refreshing. I got some good photos of my husband in the water fall. Don't forget to climb a little higher to take pictures of the other waterfall, slightly above the main one. The ride down seemed a little long due to the fact that my rump could no longer find a comforta more
My wife, me and two friends took the 5.5 hour horseback tour to the hidden waterfall. We all had a great time and enjoyed the sce...nic overviews, forest, waterfall and the staff. The only bad thing I can say, is that half way through the trip it started raining and continued to rain the rest of the trip. This wasn't totally unexpected. The lush green forests and undergrowth don't get that green without rain. The rain did influence our chose to not swim by the waterfall, but we were still able to enjoy the views and sounds of being in the valley. We would recommend this trip to anyone who likes to experience something in a unique way. And would even recommend it to someone who has never ridden a horse before (they were very good with the new riders in our group). more
My husband and I had a fantastic time on our trail ride last week. The tour guide (Chauncy - sp?) was wonderful and personable. My... husband and I are very experienced riders, but there were several first timers in our group too. We all had a fabulous time! The horses were wonderful as well :) Highly recommend the 5.5 hour tour - it's well worth it! more
A very nice ride with terrific views from the rim of the valley. Staff was very helpful, patient with new riders, and informative-...-they enjoy leading these tours and it shows. Next time we'll book the longer trip--we all enjoyed this one a lot. more
Amazing scenery, horses were responsive and fun to ride, "Uncle Roy" and other wranglers were great. We enjoyed learnin...g local lore. more
this was so amazing. the weather did not cooperate but even so, i'd do this tour again and again! beautiful and fun.

I have been riding numerous times on a farm. but never on a trail up a mountain but it was easy. Even if you are a first time ride...r the staff helps you learn everything. The horses were great and well behaved. The guides were awesome. Told us lots of information about the mountain, took our pictures in front of some great views. Overall, great trip. more
This was my second time doing this horseback ride and it was worth every penny even the second time around. I went on the ride a f...ew years ago with a good friend, but this time I was back with my hubby and I wanted to go on it with him. We attended the 5 hour/waterfall ride and it was so great! He loved it and we had a great time! You are able to see some spectular views of the island that you can't see otherwise! A definite must do!!! more
The guides were great and very friendly, the view from the ridge was outstanding. We did the 2.5 hr ride which was perfect, my ba...ckside would not have enjoyed 2 more hrs of riding. more
We had a great time horseback riding, the view from the rim was fantastic. Would definitely do this again.
This horseback ride was a great experience for me and my two young children, ages 8 and 9. None of us had gone horseback riding be...fore, so we did the shorter tour. Our guide Chauncey was absolutely amazing. He was knowledgeable, funny, and patient with us, allowing us to take our time hiking up the valley. He even had a few surprises for us. We learned all about the nature in the area, soaked up the beautiful scenery, and took lots of pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed the outing. I would definitely do this again and highly recommend it for people with young children. My girls are still talking about the horses and the fun day they had horseback riding Waipio Valley. more
We were looking for the perfect ride in the perfect location and this ride delivered. Highly recommend and will be taking this to...ur again. more
We had ithe most wonderful time this was due the beautiful inland, the ride in the area with the best views and our guide what a w...onderful person. We arrived at the check in point and was pickup then off to meet our horses, our guide had sure a love for job it made the whole day perfect. We would like to take a second just to say thank you so much for the wonderful 5.5 hours enjoyment with her love for the job and love of Hawaii. Thanks again for the wonderful time on 10-10-12. I highly recommend the Waipio Ridge Stables. My husband and I went on the hidden waterfall ride. It was AMAZING! The views are ...breathtaking and unlike anything I've ever seen. The guides were great, and full of knowledge on the area. We had a lot of fun, and were even able to swim in the refreshing pool beneath the waterfall where we also enjoyed a nice sandwich lunch which they had provided. This horseback tour was the highlight of our week long stay on the Big Island, I can't wait to go back the next time we're in Hawaii. more
Gentle, easy ride! The staff was amazing and so nice and really knowledgeable about Hawaiian history, the surroundings, etc. Defin...itely a great way to see the valley!! more
great time our guides were awesome my partner and I really enjoyed the full day ride the dip in the falls was refreshing the horse...s well behaved even though my partner has minor mobility issues our guides were more than helpfull more
Went with just me and my girlfriend for the tour. Roy was our wrangler, he was a cool guy and made it a good time. She had never r...ode but said it was the best day of her life. Horses did their job just fine. No, you can't run them but the terrain is pretty rough for most of it and you'd prob have a wreck if you tried. Recommended. more
This guided tour was a wonderful experience. The two men in charge were knowledgable of the surrounding area and were very friendl...y and talkative. They provided thorough instructions on how to safely navigate the area on horseback. Worth your money and time! more
A true highlight of our trip to the Big Island, the horseback ride was simply wonderful. We spent the day exploring the area by ho...rseback and seeing stunning views of the valley and cliffs. Our horses were wonderful and both guides were excellent. Being able to ride out to a lovely waterfall and swim in the brisk but invigorating pool was such a treat. We loved our adventure. more

My husband and I went for the ride and it was beautiful and the best experience in our time in Hawaii. I have never ridden a hors...e before, so I was very nervous. I was given a very calm horse, Polo, who needed little guidance. I basically sat back and enjoyed the ride through the forest to the Waipio Valley. It was quiet, serene, and unforgettable. more
Experience was amazing! Staff very professional, felt safe and looked after for a complete beginner rider Food was decent. Waterf...all swim was sensational. Enough time to swim and relax and get dry again before heading back. Views of waterfall and forest were beautiful Would do it again!!!!! more
Great horses, nice shady trail, beautiful waterfalls, awesome guides. I highly recommend this ride.
beautiful ride with friendly and knowledgeable guides
Excellent! The guides were wonderful. Beautiful and relaxing!
Amazing from start to finish!! Would do it again in a heartbeat.
This horseback ride was terrific! The wranglers were enjoyable and the scenery was beautiful!! the ride was easy even for unexperi...enced. i highly recommend the ride. more
These guys are the real deal! Not only was it a beautiful escape into tall eucalyptus Forrest to panoramic scenes- Kevin and Joe s...pent extra time with my daughter who is an avid and skilled rider and have her a little more authentic experience- but for me to ride through the Forrest- listening to the trees talk as the afternoon winds blew to be surprised by cowboy Joe singing a Hawaiian cowboy song through the wind- I highly recommend this for a must-do activity on Hawaii more
We met at the Waipio Artworks Studio at the appointed time. The staff was friendly and reminded us to take along snacks, which we... purchased there. There was a family of five matched along with our group of three. This was there first time on horse back while thus was our third ride in Hawaii. We are novices but are getting better with each ride. The guides, Duane and Roy are both local boys friendly, knowledgeable but above all, put safety first. The ride we signed up for was the 2.5 hour valley rim riif. We ride the horses through the eucalyptus trees to the Waipio valley rim. We stopped to take in the beautiful waterfall. We had seen it from the valley floor a few years ago, but seeing it from up high was even more beautiful. We continued the ride to the ruin at the opening of the valley to see the spectacular view of the valley and the black and beach. We dismounted and spent some time taking a break and some pictures. Our guides to our family pictures. We mounted up and took a different trail down the mountain back to their stable. Usually, my knees hurt after a ride, but this time my knees felt great. I think this was because our guides set the stirrups perfectly for my short legs. I would take this rude again in a heartbeat the next time we are on the big island. more
Absolutely amazing! Kevin was our guide, not only was he super nice, he was very knowledgeable of local plants, and animals and Ha...waii's history. He also took a lot of pictures of us for us. We have a great shot of us right at the rim of the valley on our horses! A picture we will treasure forever! I was a beginner, Kevin was calm and his directions were clear, he made me feel at ease and I felt like a pro by the end of the ride. My boyfriend was experienced and had nothing but good things to say about the horses. The trip to the waterfall was more than worth the money! Absolutely breathtaking! My boyfriend and I swam to the falls where there is a ledge you can climb up and jump off of. Super fun! Water was freezing but still totally worth it! My horses' name was Flash and my boyfriends horse was Pono. Great horses, with good temperament. All the horses looked well taken care of. All in all great experience, would recommend this to anyone who loves beautiful scenery, horses, and waterfalls...who doesn't?! more
My family of 4 had a great morning horseback riding. You do not need to have prior experience riding to feel comfortable on this ...ride. The horses are very well mannered and know where they are going. Chauncey and Joe were great guides. The group was small and they made sure that everyone got individualized attention. They even took our cameras and made sure to get pictures of the entire family. The views were gorgeous of the Waipio. I would definitely recommend this activity. more
This ride was breath taking and the horses were as awesome as the guides on the ride. Definitely worth the price to ride. Lush for...est and beautiful waterfalls are only part of the things to view on your ride. more
It was a mountain road horse riding. EXCITING!! My both parents said fun fun fun during this activity. And Joe helped us a lot inc...luding taking photoes of us and sending it immediately. THANKS!! Highly recommendable. more
A must do activity on the Big Island. The Waipi'o valley takes your breathe away with its beauty. Kevin and Chauncy were our ...guides and the riders ranged from experienced to never ridden before. The guys did an amazing job catering to all levels and ensuring a safe and fun experience. The horses are incredibly well trained and really comfortable to ride. I did the 5 hour trek and the waterfall swim in the private setting is a must...can't believe so few actually take the plunge and experience the magic of sitting under the waterfall. It's not all riding and there are well placed breaks so you don't get sore or feel worn after the day. the guides spend a lot of time ensuring great photos are taken so don't forget to bring a camera. Thanks team for a truly memorable experience. more
Great experience, knowledgable guides who were great with my first time riders! The only thing is I wish I had remembered to bring... towels (guides have a big saddle bag for them), ladies it's a good idea to bring your own tissue ( outhouses are not girl friendly) and bring water shoes for the waterfall, it's a bit Rocky on the bottom. Overall a wonderfully fun family day! more
Our cruise itinerary was changed completely due to weather. The wonderful folks at Veltra were already aware of the change by the... time we reached the ship. They promptly telephoned and emailed to re-schedule. We were also given the option to cancel at no charge. We decided to reschedule and I'm glad we did. After a short orientation. Roy escorted us on a peaceful horseback ride that took us to wonderful views of the Waipio Valley, waterfall and black sand beach. The views were breathtaking... time we'll spent. I would recommend to anyone looking for family fun, adventure, and an all around great afternoon. Thank you more
This activity was a true highlight of my trip to the Big Island. This horseback ride was simply amazing! Kevin and Joe are awesome... people and very skilled guides. My horse was beautiful and the view of the valley absolutely stunning. I really loved this adventure and couldn't stop talking about it with my friends when I returned to Brazil. I just hope I have the opportunity to do this again one day. If you go to the Big Island, you need to experience it!!! more

The two horseback guides were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Our family was new to horseback riding. They were very clear ...when teaching us how to handle the horses. During our ride , they told us about the history of the area and the valley. In addition they taught about the trees and all the different types of vegetation. When we arrived at the waterfall they gave us plenty of time to get in the water and swim around and go under the waterfall. Joe even let us climb up the side of the waterfall and jump into the water. We were treated great. The staff was nice and friendly. This was one of the highlights of our trip to the Big Island. more
Our guides Roy and Joe were great! The scenery was amazing and before the ride was over we were treated to the sweet sounds of a ...serenade. From our first stop on the rim we were even treated to the sight of humpbacks - yes, you can absolutely see them from that distance and you will be awed!! more
Took my 10 year old daughter and what an unbelievable experience. The staff, the horses, the scenery was all top notch. It was the... right amount of time and really felt like I got my money's worth. But once again the staff made everyone feel very comfortable even those that hadn't been on a horse before. more
This horseback ride tour was excellent! I would definitely recommend. Our guide Kevin gave us a short instruction on how to bala...nce & everyone in our party found the information more helpful than any we have ever had. Ride was relaxing, beautiful, & fun. We would all definitely take this tour again! more
This ride went above and beyond my expectations. Our guide, Kevin, was knowledgable, friendly and encouraging. I'm a beginner...-level rider and he was very patient, kind and detail-oriented while helping me on the horse, and while I was riding. He was great about giving useful tips about riding without being overwhelming. As far as the ride itself, Kevin would go and pick different flowers or plants to show them to us, allow us to smell or taste them (like wild ginger). It was an awesome and educational ride. The beauty of the ride was phenomenal as well. Waipio Valley, and the ride to the rim, is gorgeous. Once we got up to the top Kevin gave us a little history lesson about the Valley. Everything about the experience was fantastic. Definitely a highlight of the trip and worth every penny. I walked away feeling very encouraged and confident about horseback riding (I want a horse! haha) and educated about the valley we visited. Perfect. more
This was one of the most beautiful rides ever totally worth the trip. The views from the vista overlooking the valley are a must! ...It's a must do!! Roy our guide was very informative. The horses are trail horses which is perfect so you can take in the views and take selfies as the horses know the way. more
Took my family on this adventure and it was spectacular. My girls especially appreciated the swim under the waterfall. The guide...s were extremely knowledgeable and courteous. My wife and girls loved this and it really was worth the money. Make sure you bring the camera because you get really great shots along the way. more
My friend and I took our sons on this ride above the Waipio Valley and we had the best day!! Our guides were great and the horses... were the best! Beautiful scenery. We all loved it! more

I booked this ride as a surprise for my husband on our honeymoon. The guides were extremely professional, the horses were well tra...ined and the ride was amazing. We chose the shorter ride (2.5 hrs) and it was the perfect length for us. We were the only ones who turned back for the shorter ride but only commiting the morning to an activity was exactly what we wanted and neither of us was too sore after the ride. The ride, in fact, was rather relaxing. The horses need very little guidance and aside from preventing my horse from trying to eat the whole ride (I rode Flash, he was very sweet and mellow. We got along great) I could just sit back and enjoy the scenery. Would definitely book this trip again and it may have even inspired me to do more riding in the future. more
The experience was amazing. Even though it was poring rain, our guide gave us the option to go on the ride or get our money back.... We decided to take a ride in the rain. Our guide was well informed and very friendly. I would highly recommend the trip. more
What a fantastic trip! This was definitely the highlight of our vacation. Our guide Jamie was wonderful. So informative and friend...ly, he made the trip extra special. Jamie provided great service and took plenty of photos with our camera for us. The views and the waterfall swim were breathtaking. Would definitely do this again! more
A little long of a ride but the staff were very safety conscious and professional. The waterfall swim was Great!
I appreciated the fact that our guides where local people who loved the land and shared their enthusiasum. They showed us the loc...al fauna and their beneficial and medicinal properties. I loved hearing the history of the land and how it is like today. We got some amazing photographs. We couldn't ask for a more clear and beautiful day. more
My wife and I had an amazing time on the horseback ride! Miley was such a great guide and knew a lot about the area. This was a gr...eat way to see more hidden gems of the big island! We went on the 5 hour ride and it was defiantly worth it. The lunch provided was delicious and nothing was better than a relaxing lunch next to a hidden waterfall! A+++ more
This waterfall was beautiful and there was no roads to get to it so it was much more secluded. The horses were all really sweet an...d good natured. The guides were amazing and very knowledgeable about the area and different plants. We did discover that we weren't quite in shape enough to ride a horse for 5 hours but other than that, a really great experience. My husband wanted to waterfall jump and I wanted to ride a horse. It was a win win! more
The ride they the forest was beautiful. The waterfalls breathtaking. The staff was friendly and informative. The horses were well ...taken care of. They told you the history of the area we rode in and the plans for the forest. They explained the Hawaiian history of the waterfalls and who used them. Horses were well trained. If you are expecting to trot or canter this is not the ride for you. Well worth the trip to enjoy the peaceful ride and the views. more
My family and I had a blast on this ride. They were very accompanying to my 70 year old grandma and my inexpierieced boyfriend and... mom. They took three nervous riders and helped create a comfortable atmosphere by matching each rider to their respective horse based on experience and personality! The history and views, despite the rainy day, were unforgettable! I love ever second of this ride! more

We had a very enjoyable ride and the view was fantastic. We would recommend this as a fun ride for all experience levels.
This was my husband's first time on a horse since a pony ride as a child, and they could not have been more patient. The trai...l was within a thick mountain of trees and the horses navigated them flawlessly. And the view! Worth every penny. We also appreciated hearing the stories about the waterfalls and learning about the folks that live in the valley below. Would do it again in a heartbeat. more
Maile was great as were our horses Danny and Lily. Yes you are traveling thru a tree farm and on logging roads or trails dependin...g in the mud kevel. It's a climb and work for the horses-not a place you run them especially if you know how to take care of your horse. The view of Waipio valley is spectacular from a few points. The waterfall is beautiful and the only way to get here is horseback. We had a great time! more
Awesome, enjoyable, picturesque! Definitely swim in the waterfall. Super clean water and refreshing

My husband and I loved our horseback adventure! The Waipio Basin was beautiful, and our guide, (had Brennan on his shirt) was very... nice, stopping and giving us history and plant/tree information along the way. We did the 2 1/2 hour tour, and would love to do the 5 hour tour our next trip back!! We have taken horseback tours in Ohio, and Tennessee, and by far the scenery was prettiest in Waipio Valley. Would definitely recommend Waipio Valley Hoseback tours! more

The two Hawaiian guides that rode with our group were very good. The one in front of the group told us a lot of informative items... about the flora and fauna of the area we were riding through. The one disappointment was the fact that I had to WALK my horse through almost the entire ride. I understand insurance liability, but those of us who do know how to ride and handle a horse should be given the opportunity to do so, even if it means signing a waiver of liability. It would have made the ride more fun and challenging to run the horses a bit. more
This activity will take you to see amazing views of waterfalls and mountains however I thought that they overexaggerated a little ...bit on the details of this activity. It makes you think that you are going to get right up next to a waterfall and you dont. They take you to a cliff with an amazing view of waterfalls in the distance and the shoreline but you are no where near these waterfalls. The staff were very nice however and the ride was pleasent. I will definitlty go horseback riding in the future if I go back to hawaii, I would just sign up with a different activity so that I would be able to see different sights. more
This was a great day. Travis and Al (the trail guides) could not have been more helpful, informative, or understanding. No one in ...our group had ever been on a horse before, but we were all ready to be cowboys by the end of the day. It was also nice to talk to real Hawaiians that were not 'on stage' like so many of the tourist places that we have been to. The only negative was that they started the tour one hour earlier than planned, but we did not have a schedule, so we could easily adapt. The trail went out to the edge of 900 foot cliffs where you could look down at taro farms and black sand beaches. Bring your 4wd, because you will want to drive down afterwards. Thanks to everyone involved. more
I was under the impression that advanced riders would get a chance to "ride-out" since they insisted on knowing our skil...l level and recommended this ride for advanced riders. I also thought the price was expensive for what was provided and the length of the ride. It cost the same as a 2 day ride we took in Australia earlier this year that had an overnight and gourmet meals provided. Still the guide was congenial and the horses skilled. We had a good time. more
After a careful introduction to Western Style riding, we were matched with our horses. Attention was paid to their needs as much a...s it was to the riders', so after watering them, checking girths and some basic reminders we set off through the eucalyptus forest. Our guide, Dwayne, informed us of the flora and fauna en route, which added to the value of this memorable trip along the rim of the valley. 5 hours passed fast, at a leisurely pace and although we were unable to swim in the falls, ( our choice due to the rain!), we still enjoyed a simple sandwich lunch, along with my first sampling of real sugar cane and strawberry guava, freshly picked for us. Our guides took photos for us, and our horses carefully picked their paths back down through the forest. The horses were responsive and knowledgeable, kind and considerate and safe - all in all, a fabulous experience not only for the riding, but also for the sampling of Hawaiian nature, spectacular views and genuinely passionate explanat more

Excellent. To start, driving through the small towns looking for the pick-up point was wonderful and provided good opportunity to ...view this side of the island. The 2.5 hour ride was awesome, scenery beautiful and something you just can't capture on film. The wranglers were very professional and knowledgeable. Not only did we see beautiful scenery, but we also learned a lot of history surrounding Waipio, thanks to Chauncey one of the wranglers. The horses were very good stock and wonderful to ride. If you have a chance, don't miss this opportunity to view Waipio, this amazing slice of natural beauty and well worth the journey to this side of the Big Island more
My wife and I had a great time, while riding to the waterfall and watching the beautiful area of Waipo. Waterfall is awesome to s...ee, water is cold but worthwhile taking a bath. more
My husband and I were celebrating our honeymoon in Hawaii and one of the activities I wanted to do was horseback riding. It was my... husbands first time on a horse and the staff really helped us feel comfortable riding. The views were amazing, the horses were calm as they ate the plants throughout the ride, and the staff were super friendly and even funny. We rode to a beautiful private waterfall and had lunch there. It was super peaceful and the whole ride was great to take memorable pictures. We would recommend this horseback riding to everyone. Thank u!! more

Great trip, I highly recommend it, but the trip was advertised as "Horseback Ride Above Waipio Valley with Waterfall Swim/Val...ley Rim Ride [2.5 Hours]". There was NO waterfall swim and our guides were very surprised to learn the trip had been advertised this way. They only do the waterfall swim on much longer rides. Nevertheless, we had a great time. more
Attended this activity on 13th September 2014 and absolutely loved it. Our Guides were Roy & Puna and they were very experienc...ed horseman. They provided us with a thorough briefing at the base station before heading off on the trail. The horses themselves are trained trail riders and virtually steer themselves. The views were spectacular and thoroughly worth the trek. We only had time for the half day trek and had to return to the base station with Roy, while Puna took the rest of the riders up to the waterfall for the swim. If we had our time over again, we would probably do the swim as it sounded great. more

We enjoyed the ride very much. If we did it again we'd probably opt for the 2.5 hour one instead, as it was a very long ride ...and the best views were done and overwith before the 2.5 hour group turned back. Only actual complaint is that the horse my wife had really seems to be beyond the point of being able to handle a ride like that well. She had to work very hard to get the horse to keep moving, and she lagged behind the entire 5 hours because her horse seemed to be struggling the entire way. I think that horse should retire from the long rides. Joe and Roy were awesome. Would recommend to anyone to do this ride. more
The tour guide was excellent and the overall experience was good, the only thing I can complain about was the lack of scenery, we ...were just walking through the woods most of the time. We did make one stop with an amazing view but that was it. The pictures on the website are not from the tour, they showed open fields and waterfalls and a bunch of other great areas, but we did not see any of it on the tour. Even the girl that I booked the tour with on the phone said it was a beautiful tour but like I said just trees and woods. more
What a wonderful place for horseback riding! I loved it. I would suggest this activity towards the end of your vacation because yo...ur legs or bum may get sore if you aren't used to riding. more
It was okay, and we have very little riding experience, but still enjoy the trip.
