What To Expect
Enjoy an amazing cultural experience in Colombia, one the main coffee producers in the world and famous for its delectable soft Arabic coffee.
Leave Bogotá and drive for an hour and a half around the mountains to Fusagasugá, located 1720 meters above the sea level, where the temperate and damp climate conditions are optimal for growing coffee.
Visit the Hacienda Santa Coloma Coffee Plantation. There, you will get to explore the beautiful orchid gardens, witness the way fruit trees contribute to the aroma of coffee, you will collect coffee beans with your own hands, and more.
Throughout the tour, you will come to understand more about the manners and lifestyle of the coffee growers' population and learn about the sowing and traditional and industrial ways of processing of Colombian coffee.
Then, you will have a break for lunch at a magnificent homemade "ajiaco", cooked with the coffee farm's very own seasoning. Taste a freshly roasted and brewed coffee, which is the result of the whole process you have experienced.
Finally, stop at the village’s Market Square, where you will discover numerous species of Colombia's exotic fruits, vegetables and herbs.
