What To Expect
Enjoy the eclectic mix of historical landmarks and breathtaking landscapes to be found in the city of Brasov! See the lovely scenery provided by the Carpathian Mountains which is surrounding the city and tour the well-preserved medieval buildings within the city itself.
Day 1 - Bucharest - Sinaia - Brasov
We will begin the tour with a visit to the mountain resort town of Sinaia which is also known as "the Pearl of the Carpathians". While here, you will get to the peace and beauty of Sinaia Monastery and see the impressive architecture of Peles Castle which was the summer residence of the King of Romania. Afterwards, we'll finally arrive at the city of Brasov a city where modern life melds in with medieval charm. Get to wander around the Old Town and see spectacular sights such as the Black Church which is the largest Gothic church in Romania and Rope Street which is reputed to be the narrowest street in Europe to name a few. After your tour, you'll proceed to dinner and your accommodation for the night.
Day 2 - Brasov - Rasnov - Bran - Bucharest
After breakfast, the tour will proceed to the medieval fortress of Rasnov. Rasnov was built in the 14th century by the Teutonic Knights as protection against the Tartar Invasion. Learn about the impressive history of Rasnov as you walk around it's remains. After that soak in the legend and mystery of Dracula's Castle itself - Bran Castle. Built in the 14th century for military purposes, the castle then served as an inspirational basis for the castle of Stoker's Count Dracula. After our visit to Bran Castle, the tour concludes with our return to Bucharest.
