What To Expect
Glimpse the beautiful region of Transylvania and see the most significant cities and castles within the region in this 3 day tour.
Day 1 - Bucharest - Curtea de Arges - Cozia - Sibiu
The first stop for the day would be the breathtaking Curtea de Arges Monastery. The monastery was built by Neagoe Basarab and shows Moorish influences in it's architectural style. We will then proceed to the peaceful and beautiful Cozia Monastery.
After having lunch in a traditional Romanian restaurant, the tour will continue in the town of Sibiu one of the former walled citadels inhabited by the Saxons. Revel in the medieval atmosphere of the town as you go around the sights preserved from it's past. The tour will stop for the night at Sibiu.
Day 2 - Sibiu - Biertan - Sighisoara - Brasov
After breakfast, we will head out to visit the fortified church of Biertan. The church is listed as UNESCO World Heritage site and features impressive Gothic architecture. Next stop is the medieval citadel of Sighisoara, the birthplace of the legendary ruler of Walachia, Vlad Tepes or Vlad the Impaler. Get to visit the city's Clock Tower and see the amazing panoramic view from above.
After lunch, the tour will continue to another medieval citadel, the city of Brasov. Enjoy a walking tour of the historic capital of this town which has a wealth of architecture in the Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance styles. After the tour, feast on a traditional dinner as we stay overnight in Brasov.
Day 3 - Brasov - Sinaia - Bucharest
Get to visit Brasov's famous Black Church after breakfast. The church is so called because of it's blackened walls due to a fire in the city and is considered to be the most important tourist site in Brasov. We will then go to Bran Castle or Dracula's Castle and visit it's grounds and the museum located within. The tour will continue on to the mountain resort town of Sinaia to visit the former summer residence of the royal family, Peles Castle. The last stop for the tour would be a visit to the exquisite Sinaia Monastery before we make our way back to Bucharest.

For Saturday and Sunday departures the tour will be done in the reverse order because the Peles Castle is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
