What To Expect
This two day program gives you the opportunity to discover one of the most beautiful areas of Romania. You will have the chance to visit Peles Castle in Sinaia (former Royal Residence), Brasov also known as the “Romanian Salzburg” in Transylvania and Sighisoara the only medieval citadel in the world that is still populated.
Peles Castle is a Neo-Renaissance castle in the Carpathian Mountains. This former Royal Castle has hosted many important personalities, including celebrities, dignitaries and royalty. It is also home to over one of Europe's most important painting collections, housing almost 2,000 pieces of art.
We will also Brasov and Sighisoara, two old and well preserved cities in the Transylvania region. Brasov is the largest city in the mountain resorts area and is located near many tourist spots in the country. Sighisoara is a medieval walled town, home to the Sighisoara Citadel a 12th Century monument listed as a World Heritage Site, the Weapon Museum which houses numerous medieval weapons, and a 13th century clock tower that is currently a historical museum.
On the second day you will visit Bran Castle, more commonly known as "Dracula's Castle". It is situated on the border between Transylvania and Wallachia and is said to be the home of Dracula, as there is evidence that Vlad the Impaler had used this castle during his raids into Transylvania.
