What To Expect
Experience the best of Queensland's nature and wildlife. Travel to Cape Tribulation in the Daintree National Park, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Wet Tropics of Queensland."
Enjoy scenic coastal views along Captain Cook Highway to the first stop in Port Douglas. Visit the Wildlife Habitat where you can closely observe Australian flora and fauna protected within a natural environment setting.
Interact with the wildlife park's large population of macropods in the Savannah environment at the Wildlife Habitat and get the chance to hand-feed the friendly kangaroos and wallabies. Other wildlife encounters include photo opportunities while snake handling or cuddling a koala (a unique experience as Queensland is currently the only state in Australia that permits this.)*
See rare species native to the rainforests of Tropical North Queensland like the Lumholtz's Tree-Kangaroo (one of only two species found in Australia and residing in high elevation of the Wet Tropics region) and the flightless Southern Cassowary (listed as nationally endangered "keystone species").
Included in the tour is lunch at a bistro in Cape Tribulation. Afterwards, proceed for check in at your chosen accommodation and enjoy the rest of the afternoon with free time at your own leisure.
Day 2 is completely itinerary free for you to relax or enjoy some optional extra activities (extra cost). These include snorkel tours, jungle surfing, horse rides and night walk adventures. We recommend you pre-book these activities, so not to miss out.
Spend the morning at your leisure. Choose to relax at Cape Tribulation beach, or participate in a range of optional activities available (extra cost).
Depart your accommodation at midday for a guided walk in the ancient Daintree Rainforest and get informative insight about this beautiful world heritage site. Journey among the trees, walk the boardwalk and take photos of the diverse plants and animals around.
Soak up the atmosphere at Cape Tribulation Beach. Enjoy magnificent views of the Daintree River and National Park, the Coral Sea, Snapper Island and Low Isles from the Walu Wugirriga (Mount Alexandra Lookout).
Enjoy a cruise along the Daintree River and view the wildlife and the majestic trees and mangroves along the way. This protected marine habitat is rich with rare species and prolific birdlife - see birds, butterflies and reptiles in the wild! Search for crocodiles swimming or resting on the riverbanks during the cruise - the Daintree River is a natural habitat of crocs in Tropical North Queensland.
After the thrill of exploring the wilderness, you can enjoy opportunities for rest and relaxation on your way back to your accommodation.
Cape Tribulation Beach House is a beachfront resort with a funky yet modern vibe. Spend your free time at the beach to explore, relax and unwind.
Ferntree Rainforest Resort is surrounded by lush gardens, amidst the rainforest. Despite it being located in the heart of Cape Tribulation, it is only minutes away from the beach.
