Ancient Egypt comes alive in an island, just a few miles from the heart of Egypt. On the island, you will find species of trees and plants, including papyrus, that flourished during the Pharaonic Civilization. The theme park recreates an Egyptian Temple, a Pharaoh’s Palace, artisans’ dwellings, and settlements complete with people weaving, building boats, and doing the things the ancient Egyptians must have done. Attractions include a replica of Tutankhamun's tomb. The island also holds 10 museums devoted to the Pharaonic period as well as the history of Coptic Christianity and Islam in Egypt.
