What To Expect
In 2008, National Geographic included the hotel in "The stay list 150 hotels you'll love" and again in July 2008, as one of the "100 hotels we love the most".
Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo and in October 2009, Sarah Brightman have all enjoyed long stays at The Mayaland while performing in Chichen Itza. The Mayaland Hotel is located at the very heart of the archaeological site and with its own gate to access this monumental pre-Hispanic city.
Travel through time and discover the magic of Chichen Itza, the most important archaeological and UNESCO's World Heritage Site in the Mayan World. At Mayaland Hotel you can also take a refreshing dip in any of the swimming pools, stroll through the tropical gardens or simply relax in the cool breeze. Just a few steps from the archaeological site, a feast for your eyes and ears awaits you at the light and sound show. Enjoy a deep look to the stars and constellations in the middle of the dark jungle and relaxing on a hammock.
The excursion begins when we pick up all the passengers between 07:00-08:05 am at the lobbies of all major Cancun and Riviera Maya hotels. We will skip the line by heading through the Mayaland Hotel private entrance, providing each person with a cold bottle of water to stay hydrated. We will take an approximately 2 hour's tour with a certified guide who will introduce you to the secrets of the Mayans. Your guide will explain the historical significance of all the most important sites; you can spend all the time required at your own at the archaeological site or leave.
Next day transportation to Cancun will depart from Mayaland Hotel at around 4:00 pm.
