The SizaBantwana Children Benefit Organization is a non-profit organization that works in the rural communities surrounding Hazyview, Mpumalanga. SizaBantwana has about 400 children, orphaned or made vulnerable as a result of HIV/AIDS, that daily attend one of the five local care centers. The children participate in after school activities and receive a wholesome meal. SizaBantwana offers a positive environment for a bright and hopeful future.
During the 1960s, farmers in the area decided to build a school for the laborers' children. The multi-grade school offers education to children from Grades 1-6, with four classrooms, two teachers (one of whom is the principal) and an administrative clerk. The school receives a "Norms and Standards" allocation from the government which subsidizes school fees, text books, and general expenses.
