What To Expect
See Europe's largest gorge (about 18 kilometers/11 miles) long and visit National Park, a protected area of unbelievable natural beauty. Rich with many endemic flowers and herbs with crystal clear spring water from the mountains, you only need to bring an empty bottle!
Average walking time is 4-6 hours. There will be time for swimming and lunch at the Libyan Sea, then a boat trip to Sougia or Chora Sfakion, where the coach is waiting for you at the harbor, ready to drive you back to the hotel.
We start early in the morning, to pick you up at the hotel and drive through the mountains to the plateau of Omalos. There we will take a 20-30 minute break.
Continue to the entrance of the gorge, where the guide is ready with your tickets (paid in advance on board the bus)
Meet at Agia Roumeli to embark on the boat trip to Sougia or Chora Sfakion.

Tour is not recommended for people with health problems (such as heart disease or breathing problems, etc), weak knees, pregnant women, small children and physically disabled.
We recommend that you bring a bottle of water (which you can refill with spring water) a hat, both salty and sweet snacks (e.g. nuts and raisins).
Good hiking shoes are recommended.
Children 3 years old and below are free of charge if seated on adult's lap.
