What To Expect
Explore the charming city of Colonia del Sacramento declared World's Heritage by the UNESCO for its incrediblly well preserved architecture and cobbled streets, that date back to the colonial period, when it was disputed by Portugueses and Spanish.
Once we pick you up, we will explore the typical streets and colonial houses. We will go through Calle de los Suspiros, one of the most symbolic streets of the city, in the heart of the old town. It survives since the colonial period, when the Portugueses dominated the region. Admire the beauty of the landscape, with the Rio de la Plata at the end of the emblematic street.
Visit as well Santisimo Sacramento's church, admire its sumplicity and its Portuguese colonial style. After that, we will see the Bastion de San Pedro, incredible vestiges of the ancient walls that protected once the city. Then we will pass by the Rambla, next to the huge Rio de la Plata, and we will visit the bullring, Real de San Carlos, built in 19th century and Mihanovich complex, ancient Basque residence.
We will finish our tour in the port, from where we will go back to the downtown.
At the end of the afternoon, we will take you back to your hotel in Colonia del Sacramento.
