Splendid in gold, the Copenhagen Opera House lords it over the waterfront with sounds that make men and women weep and brave the elements. Formally inaugurated on January 15, 2005, it features architectural attractions: the floating roof, which covers four stories; the main auditorium, which can seat 1,400; and the orchestra pit, which can hold over 100 musicians.
