The legacy of Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen (1770-1844) lives on. Housing stunning sculptures and collection of ancient and contemporary art, Thorvaldsens Museum also displays the famed sculptor’s drawings and personal belongings. Inside, are frescoes made by other artists, who captured the glory days of Pompeii. The museum’s yard holds the remains of Thorvaldsen.
