What To Expect
Da Nang, the fourth largest city in Vietnam, has considerable charm in its own right. Explore its tree-lined boulevards, bridges, beautiful beachside resorts and glittering shops.
After pick-up from Tien Sa Port, drive along the scenic coastal line to Da Nang. We'll stop at the Cham Museum built by the French and used as the Ecole Francaise d'Extreme Orient in 1915. This charming but rather primitive museum has an extensive collection of sculptures and history of the Cham people and artifacts. Its exhibits depict four different periods: My Son, Tra Kieu, Dong Duong and Thap Mam and most of the Buddhist and Hinduist statues here are in sand stone which has existed for centuries.
Continue to drive to the Han Market, a popular place for most locals to buy daily necessities. Across the street is the XQ Embroidery Workshop where you can see the Vietnamese girls working hard on a lot of beautiful embroidered pieces.
We'll leave the city and head for the Marble Mountain Village. The mountain has 5 mounts, namely: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth. You may opt to buy stone statues but bargaining is a must so may get a good price.
Finally, we'll drive to the famous My Khe Beach to stroll along its sand and enjoy fresh air before you head back to the ship.
