What To Expect
For the first part of this Davao city guided tour, you'll learn about a brief historical overview of the city.
Our first stop is the Lon Wa Buddhist Temple - the biggest temple in Mindanao - boasting an impressive Buddha Statue, with his life depicted in wood carvings. Then, we proceed onto the Puentespina Orchid Garden Center. Here we will be able to see its wide collection of orchid species, including the Waling-Waling, the "Queen of Philippine Orchids."
Next, we'll drive through Chinatown on our way to the San Pedro Cathedral, a mosque-inspired edifice, built to foster friendship between the Christians and the Muslims. We will then proceed to the new Museo Dabawenyo, a government owned museum that showcases Davao's culture and history.
Our next stop will be at Jack's Ridge Resort, located atop the hill, which overlooks the city. We'll continue onto Davao Crocodile Park, where you will meet not only crocodiles, but different kinds of animal species. Within the complex, you can also visit the Butterfly House and Tribu K'Mindanawan (Mindanao Tribes).
Next stop is the government owned People's Park, which features a mini-forest and large sculptures representing the many indigenous groups of Mindanao. We will end your exhilarating tour of Davao with a stop at Aldevinco Craft and Batik Center where you may shop for some native Mindanao crafts.
Tour ends with a drop off at your Davao City hotel.
