Description

Take a scenic drive from Dublin into the heart of Wicklow's stunning countryside. Journey to the mystical site of Glendalough, home to the most breathtaking scenery in Ireland before continuing to the Wicklow village of Avoca in Ireland's oldest handweaver mill.

Travel along winding mountain roads deep in the Glencree Valley then on through bog lands and heather fields to the Guinness Lakes for a wonderful photo opportunity.

Take a photo at the Sally Gap, which offers views of the Wicklow mountains.

Enjoy a guided tour of the 6th century monastic settlement at Glendalough. See the famous 10th century Round Tower and St Kevin's Kitchen. Optional walk to the stunning Upper Lake.

For lunch, take delight in a hearty meal of local dishes (at own expense) at a traditional Irish Pub in the Wicklow Mountains area.

Visit the Wicklow village of Avoca, where the TV drama Ballykissangel was filmed. Drop into Fitzgerald's pub for an optional pint of Guinness or a complimentary taste of whiskey. Visit the famous Handweaver's craft shop, considered the oldest weaving mill in Ireland.
