“Our driver/tour guide, Joseph Patrick Mulligan was excellent! Given the initial bad weather, he started our tour day with song and laughs. An accident en-route delayed our arrival at the Cliffs of Moher by almost two hours, but he made the best of a bad situation and kept us all having a great time. ...Lorraine M., USA – See more reviews
What To Expect
Jump aboard our tour bus and meet like-minded, inquisitive fellow travellers. Travel with us to Ireland's wild west coast and back in one day. Along the way we will fill you in on the flora & fauna and magical history that come with the Cliffs of Moher. This amazing Cliffs of Moher day trip is not to be missed when holidaying in Ireland. Each time we travel to this beautiful site, it looks different and we never tire of it.
You will get to walk along one of Ireland's most famous landmarks, accompanied by sweeping views across the Aran Islands. After an exhilarating walk, we will make our way down to the limestone/karst region of Ireland; the so called "Burren"- where you will get to stroll through the klints and grikes and see the amazing flora and fauna that grows in this special ecosystem nowhere else to be found in Ireland. Watch out for the wonderful flowers that only grow in this botanists' playground.
We can have lunch down in the scenic charming village of Doolin.
Visit Corcomroe Abbey, a 12th Century Cistercian monastery romantically set in a valley surrounded by farmland, and admire its detailed carvings and other rich ornamentation.
On the way back you will travel via Galway Bay and stop by the quaint village of Kinvara, a seaside village with a fisherman's harbor that hosts Galway Hooker boats with their signature red sails. Have a glimpse of Dunguaire Castle, once home to the poet and writer Oliver Saint John Gogarty, beautifully nestled on its own headland surrounded by water.
