What To Expect
The best entertainment on Easter Island is presented in the form of a 3-course dinner that consists of the fine seafood typically prepared by its inhabitants, such as fresh ceviche and mouthwatering local fruits, and a performing arts show at Kari Kari cultural center where artists preserve and share the Rapa Nui culture by dancing scenes from their way of life, including tales of love and war.
A major highlight of the show would be the Sau Sau, the island's famous courtship dance. The Kari Kari dancers are elaborately costumed, although their performances are executed using little technology. Everything from the body paint to the facial expression to the props of the dancers conveys a special story about their heritage.
Their talent and charisma is enough to encourage audience members to get up and dance with them! Their compelling performances of their songs and prayers truly open the spirituality of the audience. Guests will feel fully indulged and satisfied after this night of good food, music and dance courtesy of the guardians of the mystical Rapa Nui culture.
