What To Expect
Visit the sites of daily life in Easter Island, starting with the market next to the church, then the town center with souvenir shops, restaurants and cafes. Find bargains at the craft fair of Hanga Roa, and bring home your own miniature Moai carving! There is also a selection of native fruits and vegetables.
Next, enter the Taha Archaeological Complex, a perfect restoration of the original architecture of Easter Island. End the tour at the Father Sebastian Englert Antropological Museum.
Named after the Bavarian missionary, the museum contains collections relevant to the heritage of the Rapa Nui people, including the only female Moai and eyes made of coral placed in the Moai, along with photos, traditional music and a library.
