What To Expect
We will leave downtown Calafate to head towards Perito Moreno Glacier, located in Los Glaciares National Park for a breathtaking adventure on the Glacier.
Do not miss the beautiful patagonian landscapes and viewpoints on Perito Moreno Glacier during our scenir ride to Puerto Bajo de las Sombras Port. This pier is located 6km before the famous Perito Moreno Glacier walkways from where this imposing Glacier can also be admired.
Enjoy a 10min boat ride accross the Rico Arm of Lake Argentino, the biggest freshwater lake in Argentina. Marvel at the breathtaking views of the Perito Moreno Glacier's front walls.
We will desembark on the west part of the Glacier to pick up harnesses and crampons for your footwear. Start hiking in small groups on the lateral morraine of Perito Moreno Glacier and be amazed by the breathtaking views, it's ice everywhere!
On the middle of the ice, your professional guide will point out crevasses, caves, and will have other surprises in store for you.
After a 3 hours and a half hike on Perito Moreno Glacier, you will stop for lunch on the ice.
We'll hike back to the moraine to start our descent to the port. The boat back to Puerto de las Sombras will take you very close to the southern wall of Perito Moreno Glacier as you sip in some whiskey with Perito Moreno Glacier's ice!
