What To Expect
Upon arrival you will drive through the fascinating countryside towards the legendary city of Cairo approximately three hours away. Your first stop is the famous Egyptian Museum, which houses the largest collection of Egyptian artifacts in the world, including the magnificent treasures of King Tutankhamen.
After lunch at local restaurant, you will head to the Plateau Of Giza where you will see the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World: the Great Pyramid and its mysterious guardian, the Sphinx, monuments that defied the passage of time and men. Next is the Western Plateau for a panoramic view of the Pyramids and a short photo stop, followed by the Great Pyramid of Cheops for some free time.
You will continue down the valley to visit the mighty Sphinx with its adjoining Mortuary Temple made of alabaster. You will be given some time to spend at an oriental shop for a reed paper-making demonstration, which uses methods discovered by ancient Egyptians. You will have some time for souvenir shopping before your return to Sokhna Port.
