About Florence Basilica della Santissima Annunziata

The mother church of the Servite order, the 13th century-built Basilica of the Most Holy Annunciation contains many beautiful frescoes and a painting of the Virgin Mary said to be completed by an angel. You could also find here the Chiostrino dei Morti, aptly called the Cloister of the Dead as it is a former burial ground, which is well-known for its beautiful fresco Madonna del Sacco by del Sarto.
