The first stop is planned in a typical Italian Bar where you will taste 2 different types of coffee and learn about the Italian toast process. At the next stop, you will taste a "panino tartufato" in a delicatessen shop which was founded in 1885 and which has won a vast recognition amongst the citizens for its gastronomic specialties with truffles.
During the tour, our tour guide will talk about the history of the most important squares in Florence where in the past the Florentine use to buy their food! Our third stop is at the San Lorenzo Central Market, where today the locals do their shopping. Here, we will taste balsamic vinegars and extra virgin olive oils, "crostini" and two different wines. At the following stop we'll visit a local "Enoteca" where you will taste two Tuscan wines, Italian cheeses and two very local cold cuts and learn about their origins. Our last stop is at one of Florence's best gelato shops, where we will taste delicious and freshly made Italian ice cream!

Next, you will visit an old deli shop which opened in 1885 and try panino al tartufato; a local variety of famous Italian panini sandwich. Panino al tartufato is a small bread roll filled with delicious truffle cream - the best street food in Florence!
San Lorenzo Central Market
Your next stop will be the vibrant San Lorenzo Central Market, a bustling local food market. See the variety of fresh and traditional specialty products on offer. Also, try some typical crostini, balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil.
Wine and Cheese Tasting
You will then visit La Divina Enoteca where you will enjoy tastings of the best Tuscan Chianti and Sangiovese red wines, perfectly paired with delicious Italian cheeses. The on-site Sommelier will explain the differences between colors, perfumes and areas where wines are produced.
Finish off your tour with a delicious gelato ice cream in one of the best gelato shops in Florence. The history of "gelato" dates back to frozen desserts served in ancient Rome made from snow and ice brought down from mountains and preserved deep underground!
