What To Expect
Being the oldest monument of the Duomo Complex, the Florence Baptistery, also known as the Baptistry of Saint John, stands as a marvelous relic of the Renaissance era and a glorious masterpiece of Romanesque architecture.
Witness the development of the entire monumental complex of the Cathedral over the centuries in a fascinating video presentation before the guided tour. See the journey told through exclusive images and reconstructions and know how the "Cradle of the Renaissance" flourished. The presentation will be followed by a captivating guided tour of the Baptistery which will be lead by an expert "Opera del Duomo" guide. Get the chance to climb the stunning elevated gallery of "Matroneo" and be captivated by the elaborately designed mosaics and the pristine marble floors.
The tour also includes a visit to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore where we will show you the wonderful works of art kept within its magnificent walls.
At the end of the tour, only a few steps from the Cathedral square, you will be treated to delicious tastings of Chianti wine, tidbits of scrumptious cheeses and balsamic vinegar.
You will also be given an entrance ticket to various monumental sites in the Duomo Complex such as the Brunelleschi's Dome, Giotto's Bell Tower, and Crypt of Santa Reparata.
