This mesmerising trip gives us an insight into the history, culture, and the daily life of the locals in Ho Chi Minh City. Soak up cultural in delights of bustling Ho Chi Minh City on this full day adventure. Ramble though the streets of Chinatown and bargain up a storm in some of the city's most atmospheric markets. Re-fuel with a tasty traditional lunch while discovering the many sights dotting downtown Saigon - from the fascinating War Remnants Museum to the beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral. Know the real Ho Chi Minh City, from its traumatic past to its beautiful French-colonial architecture, and discover the cultural heart and hidden treasures that dot this thriving metropolis.

We start our trip with our local guide by heading to Chinatown, where we shall walk through back streets of the Chinatown near Cho Lon to view the local daily life. Stop off for a visit of Thien Hau temple, which was built in the early 19th Century and was dedicated to Thien Hau, the goddess of seafarers. We delve more deeply into Chinatown by visiting the amazing Cholon and Binh Tay Market where locals shop. Stop at a local café for a coffee to watch the hectic pace of life that passes by Ho Chi Minh City.

Following our market visit, we will have a traditional local Vietnamese lunch, "Pho" or Noodle Soup. After lunch we visit the War Remnants Museum and take a walking tour to Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, General Post office, Opera house and downtown Saigon. The War Remnants Museum was originally opened in September 1975. It displays old military equipment and other related items from the Vietnam War.  In the courtyard we will find some larger exhibits including a F5A fighter and a UH1-Huey helicopter. The Reunification Palace, formerly known as the Presidential Palace, was the sight of South Vietnam's surrender in April 1975. Notre Dame Cathedral, General Post Office and the Opera House are beautiful examples of architecture from the French colonial period. This trip with our local guide will give us insights into the history, culture and the daily life activities of the locals in Ho Chi Minh City. At the end of the trip you are free to continue exploring the area or your guide will assist you in getting a taxi back to your hotel.
