What To Expect
Kapiolani Park was created by royal decree as a living testament to the devotion and respect King David Kalakaua felt toward his beloved Queen Kapiolani. Today, just as in the days of Hawaiian Royalty, Kapiolani Park serves as a major social and cultural hub for the people of Hawaii and for millions of visitors that flock to Waikiki each year. Join us for a fun filled ride on board your own ultimate personal transportation device to discover the historic nuggets and scenic gems hidden in the crowning achievement of Hawaii's last king.
The 48-volt Pon-e Trikke is a quiet, smooth and stable riding electric vehicle designed to deliver long range versatility, uphill power and fun. Whether you're gliding along with the beach crowd past the famous Queen's surf break or flying across the finish line of the famed Honolulu Marathon, power and control are at your fingertips.
Your tour will follow in the footsteps of Hawaii's first Olympic champion and father of modern surfing, Duke Kahanamoku. You'll see it all, from the historic cottages near the spot where Duke took off on his epic 30 footer to the bronze statue that stands where he emerged from the water after riding the world's longest wave. The 90 minute tour traverses the length and breadth of this 300-acre park, visiting some of its most revered monuments and little known scenic corners. While you're carving a few power turns through the park we'll also relate many of the most important historic events and notorious incidents that have played out in the shadow of glittering Diamond Head.
