What To Expect
You will be picked-up at your hotel lobby between 07:00-07:30. We will head to the world's biggest masonry dam, which is around 160 kilometers from Hyderabad, taking us approximately 3-4 hours of travel. Standing at a height of 124 meters, a length of 1 kilometer and holding 11,742 million cubic liters of Krishna River water is the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam. Visit the massive marvel of architecture which created the third largest man-made lake in the world - the Nagarjuna Sagar Reservoir.
In the midst of the reservoir lies the remains of a Buddhist civilization dating back to the 3rd century. Go on a boat ride to the Nagarjunakonda Island. Here we will visit the Buddhist Museum which houses relics of the Roman Emperors Tiberius and Hadrian. We'll return by boat and continue to a local hotel or restaurant for lunch.
We will then proceed to the Ethipothala Waterfalls. Located around 12 kilometers downstream from the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam, is the picturesque waterfalls gushing down the hills from a height of 22 meters. The waterfall is a combination of three streams namely the Chandravanka Vagu, Nakkala Vagu and Tummala Vagu. Your driver will then take you back to Hyderabad and drop you off at your hotel accommodation.
