What To Expect
At the start of your tour, you will be picked up from your accommodation and then travel by coach to Istanbul Travel Cafe. The coffee course in Istanbul Travel Cafe gives you a unique opportunity to learn how to create great Turkish coffee in a cezv and how to brew authentic Turkish tea. Enjoy traditional coffee and freshly baked achma and sweets in this traditional cafe.
Proceed to the Egyptian Bazaar, the second largest market in Istanbul. This bazaar is brimming with oriental sweets and various herbs and spices imported from all over the world. Also known as the Spice Market, the Egyptian Bazaar is filled with the oriental aromas of cinnamon, ginger, saffron, cardamom and Turkish coffee.
Together with your guide, visit the Rustem Pasha Mosque (1550-1561), a magnificent building designed by Mimar Sinan, considered the greatest Ottoman architect of the Ottoman Empire's architectural heritage. After Sinan's death, the mosque was completed by his wife Mihrimah. Sinan wanted the mosque to reflect his character and did so with magnificent features, such as many windows, marble columns, and Iznik tiles. Rustem Pasha Mosque, seen by many as the small Blue Mosque, is one of the finest Ottoman mosques in Istanbul and has become a symbol of loyalty to the country.
At the end of your tour, you will be dropped off to your accommodation.
