Hike and explore all five tiers of Kalihiwai Falls! Learn all about the flora, fauna & history of Kauai. Swim at a waterfall and enjoy a delicious picnic lunch.
Hike into the verdant green rainforests of Kauai and explore a working cattle ranch! Ascend "Green Hill" to witness breathtaking mountain and ocean views before hiking through the lush lowland forests of Kalihiwai Valley, descending a ten-foot rock wall and coming upon the spectacular five-tiered Kalihiwai Falls! Relax on the shores, swim in refreshing waters, and play in the mountain atmosphere all while enjoying a delicious picnic lunch. Continue upwards into the valley alongside a stream to a second, idyllic waterfall swimming hole surrounded by fern-lined walls.
Truly one of the highlights of the trip. The hike was all encompassing including terrain such as grass, flat land, uphill, downhill, dirt, mud, rocks, crossing waterfalls and climbing up and down a rock! Pushed my limits with the rock climbing which was great! Knowledgable and personable guide. Lunch was satisfying. Swimming in the waterfall after hiking to the waterfall was priceless. A wonderful wonderful time.

We had so much fun on the hike....it was a great hike for beginners and intermediate hikers. Great scenery and a look at the &quo...t;back country" of Kauai. Our guide was very well informed of things on our hike....it was a great mix of a little adventure, fun, and really pretty relaxing, I would definitely recommend this activity to others more

This is one of those "Once in a lifetime" things. We did it once, and never again in our lifetime!!! We did this on our ...Honeymoon and I thought that it would be a magical experience for my husband and I. Waterfalls, secluded swimming holes, us and nature!!! It was the most exhausting and strenuous activity that I could have picked on the whole Island!!! The description is correct you do go through moving streams and by streams they mean streams that are moving about 35 miles per hour and about 100-150 feet if not more from the ground. At a few points you have to be strapped on a wire, so you don't go down the waterfall!! I am terrified of heights, so that is probably the main reason why I would not do this again. We are glad that we did do this. Tip: Bring an underwater camera your digital camera will get wet!!! We have the most gorgeous pictures from this activity!!! more
This was an easy hike. I had envisioned something more challenging on a mountainside vs. being in a valley. The crossing of the wa...terfall and the swimming under the waterfall was enjoyable. The hike through the cow pasture could have been cut out and this would have made it more enjoyable with less time wasted with nonessential hiking. more
We hiked to this waterfall ourselves on our recent anniversary trip, and LOVED it. The waterfall was the perfect spot for our own... romantic picnic. We saw NO ONE while we were there. I wish I HAD known there was a tour available, for two reasons. First, it would have been worth the money to have someone guide us, as we spent a lot of time trying to find the place. Second, had we known that a group of tourist might happen upon us at any time, we never would have gotten nearly so "intimate" on the rocks below the falls! (On second thought, maybe I'm glad we DIDN'T know about the tour...sorry if you caught us!) Still, it was a wonderful hike, and a beautiful waterfall. more
