What To Expect
Situated at a distance of 70 km from Krakow in the town of Oswiecim, KL Auschwitz was the biggest Nazi concentration and death camp in occupied Europe. The total number of victims between 1940-45 is estimated at 1.1 to 1.5 million people. There are still ruins of gas chambers, miles of barbed wire fence and the railway platform where the people arrived.
During the tour you will visit both parts of the Museum located in Oswiecim (KL Auschwitz I) and Brzezinka (KL Auschwitz II Birkenau). You will also watch a documentary on the history of the KL Auschwitz concentration and death camp.
