Panching Cave lies about 25 km west of Kuantan. The cave is a Buddhist sanctuary - it houses a huge statue of the reclining Buddha among others. Hike up the cave for a panoramic view of the surrounding. A natural opening at the top of the cave allows sunlight to penetrate, illuminating the statues at a certain time of the day. From here, proceed to the Pandan Waterfall, where you can take refreshing dip in the natural pool.
