On Tuesdays (Wednesday if Tuesday is a national holiday) in January, July, August, and December, Nijo Castle is closed. The tour will visit Ryoanji Temple or Daitokuji Daisen-in Temple instead.
Transportation service to Karasuma Kyoto Hotel, Hotel Nikko Princess Kyoto, and Hotel Monterey Kyoto is not available on the days of Gion Festival (July 14 to 16) due to traffic restrictions.
At Kasuga Shrine, the tour does not include entrance to areas requiring additional admission.
The tour may not visit Nara Nagomikan if it is closed or traffic conditions and other operational concerns.
The pick up was easy and be on time. Everyone was on the ball and there were no hassles. We did a comprehensive tour of three site sin kyoto and two in nara. We had admission to the imperial palace and that was a rare treat. Thed golden shrine was spectacular . The giant buddha temple was also a real treat. there were deers everywhere and theyre most friendly. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom then and it was spectacular anywhere in Kyoto and Nara. The lunch was delicious. Our tour guides were all fluent and very helpful and hardworking. I really enjoyed the tour and I would highly recommend it.

Nijo Castle (50 minutes)
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this historical castle was completed in 1626. Built to provide lodgings for the Shogun, the grounds consist of two concentric rings of fortification, the Honmaru and the Ninomaru, along with beautiful gardens.
Kinkakuji Temple (Golden Pavilion) (45 minutes)
The top two floors of this gorgeous Zen temple are completely covered in gold leaf and surrounded by one of the most exquisite Muromachi Period gardens in Kyoto.
Kyoto Imperial Palace (All Days Except Mondays) (40 minutes)
Located within the beautiful gardens of Kyoto Gyoen, this architectural beauty was the residence of the Emperor of Japan until 1869.
*Closed on Mondays except when Monday is a national holiday. The following Tuesday will be closed instead. Also closed from Dec 28 2016 to Jan 4 2017.
Kitano Tenmangu Shrine (Mondays and Days when Imperial Palace is Closed) (40 minutes)
This shrine's main hall is a designated national treasure and is famous for housing the God of scholarship. The shrine is especially beautiful during the plum blossom and autumn leaf seasons.

Todaiji Temple and Nara Park (60 minutes)
Todaiji is a World Cultural Heritage Site and home to the largest bronze Buddha statue in the world, housed by the largest wooden building in Japan. In Nara Park you can eet the famous local deer, considered messengers to the gods.
Kasuga Taisha Shrine (40 minutes)
This Nara Period shrine Shinto shrine dates back to 768 and is known for its numerous bronze and stone lanterns. The deer are thought to be shrine messengers!
Nara Nagomikan (20 minutes)
Walk around Nara Nagomi Kan looking for that perfect Japanese souvenir!

Children (ages 0-5 years) will be able to participate for free under the following conditions. Tour: An individual seat will not be provided. Please have them sit on the lap of their parent or guardian. If there are seats available, they are welcome to use it, however they will not be getting a priority in seating. An individual meal or snack will not be provided as well. If you would like any of the above for children (ages 0-5 years), please book them as a child.
Guests will be asked to provide personal information such as full name, nationality, gender, and age before entering the Kyoto Imperial Palace.
Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed on Mondays except when Monday is a national holiday. The following Tuesday will be closed instead. Also closed from late December to early January. In these circumstances, the tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead.
On Tuesdays (or Wednesday if Tuesday is a national holiday) in January, July, August, and December and over the year-end New Year's holidays, Nijo Castle is closed. The tour will visit Ryoanji Temple instead.

it was a beautiful sunny day, the english speaking guide was nice but hard to understand his english, it will be better when the c...ompany provides free wi-fi on the bus like in Tokyo and the Lunch buffet was poorly for this price. Next time will be greater if the company, organise for the Tour Groups separat room with Lunch buffet, look up much better as mixes with others. Lunch time was to short. more
