What To Expect
Explore one of the oldest cities in Japan! Located between the two ancient capitals of Nara and Kyoto, Uji's roots reach almost as deep into Japanese history as its two famous neighbors.
Upon arrival at Uji, visit the ancient Uji Bridge. Thought to have been built in the 7th century, the bridge is known as one the oldest in the country.
Next, enjoy a relaxing morning stroll around Furitsu Uji Park. Situated on the bank of Uji River, this park offers a magnificent view of Arashiyama.
Then, enjoy a simple tea ceremony at Taiho-an, an authentic tea house on the bank of Uji River.
Head to the World Heritage Site-listed Byodo-in Temple, a Buddhist temple that houses Buddha statue and other images, surrounded by a beautiful garden. An image of this temple's Phoenix Hall is featured on the 10 yen coin.
At the end of the tour, you will board a train to Kyoto Station.

This tour has a 2 participant minimum requirement for operation and is subject to cancellation if this minimum is not met. Please call at least 24 hours prior to departure to confirm schedule.
Children 5 years old and below are free of charge, provided they sit on an adult's lap. If they need a seat, they will be charged.

This tour uses public transportation. Seating is non-reserved. Please note that you may be unable to sit down.
Itinerary order is subject to change depending on road conditions and congestion at sightseeing destinations. The tour may not visit Nakanoshima Park due to river flooding or other reasons. Depending on congestion, the tour may not be able to enter the Phoenix Hall at Byodo-in Temple.
