What To Expect
See Osaka, the commercial center of western Japan! Get a grand view of Osaka from the Aerial Garden Observatory on the 40th floor, and visit Osaka Castle and its museum of the castle's history, which also documents Osaka's attempt to become Japan's capital before it was moved to Tokyo. From there, take a riverboat cruise for another breathtaking view of the city.
You will walk to the following places from the JR Osaka Station:
Umeda District (30 minutes)
The Umeda, also known as the Kita District is one of Osaka's two main city centers. It is located around the large station complex that comprises Osaka and Umeda Stations.
Floating Garden Observatory (30 minutes)
Enjoy a panoramic view at 170m high above the city in the open-air observatory that overlooks the city of Osaka, Awaji Island and Mount Ikoma.
Lunch will be a western-style set meal.
You will then walk to the Higashi-Umeda Station and ride the subway to the Temmabashi Station.
Osaka-jo Castle (60 minutes)
Osaka Castle is noted for its magnificence and immense stones used in its construction. The castle, towering over the city, stands on a stone rampart. Many relics of the castle's original lords, the Toyotomi clan, and Old Osaka are exhibited inside.
Aqua Liner (60 minutes)
Enjoy a boat ride with passing views of Osaka Castle, Twin Towers, City Hall on Nakanoshima Isle.
You will then return to JR Osaka Station and proceed to Kyoto by JR special rapid service or rapid service. Tour ends upon arrival at JR Kyoto Station at 17:00-17:30

Pick ups are available from selected Kyoto hotels.
Children 5 years old and below are free of charge, provided they sit on an adult's lap. If they need a seat, they will be charged (child rates).
The tour will be accompanied by a certified English-speaking guide.
The tour is a walking tour, so please wear comfortable shoes.
This tour uses public transportation with non-reserved seats for the entire itinerary. Please note that seating may not be available.
The tour disbands at Kyoto Station.
When the Aqua Liner is out of service due to bad weather or other reasons, the tour will visit the Osaka Museum of History instead. If the Aqua Liner is unavailable on Tuesday, when the Osaka Museum is closed, the cost of the Aqua Liner ride will be refunded.
