Formerly known as Tate Gallery, Tate Britain boasts of nothing less than the world’s most extensive 16th- to 21st-century British art collection. Its Clore Galleries house the Turner Bequest, a magnificent collection bequeathed by great landscape artist J.M.W. Turner to the state in 1851. The lower floor of this celebrated museum shelters a café and espresso bar (open for lunch daily) celebrated for its reasonable prices and award-winning wine list.
