Not to be dismissed as merely scrap work, the Watts Tower is considered a masterpiece by visitors from across the globe. Finished in 1954 by construction worker Simon Rodia, this monument to folk art was built using scrap metal, pipes, bed frames and seashells. Every single moment of the 33 years it took to erect Watts Tower is worth the praises bestowed upon this structure.
