What To Expect
Enjoy your holiday in Switzerland by going on a tour of the country's three most popular holiday destinations: Lucerne, Interlaken, and Montreux! Visit two places of different culture and languages as you come to the German-speaking region of Lucerne and to the French-speaking town of Montreux. Travel to three Swiss regions aboard the GoldenPass Line trains that passes through the magnificent railways of the country, offering you panoramic glimpses of the natural attractions.
Transfer by train (2nd class tickets) from any airport, border, or any destination in Switzerland to Lucerne. Enjoy an exciting train ride and the astounding views that you can see from the wide panels of the train's windows.
Once you've arrived early in Lucerne, you may roam around the Old Town on your own. During your stay in Lucerne, take advantage of the 2 for 1 offers in your Swiss Coupon Pass to further enjoy your stay. Admire the historic town's mountainous panorama of the Rigi, Stanserhorn, and Pilatus and go shopping among its selection of watch and souvenir shops. At the end of the day, turn in for the night at your Lucerne hotel.
After enjoying a hearty breakfast in your Lucerne hotel, come on board the trains of the Zentralbahn to enjoy a tour of two foreign-speaking towns of Switzerland. First, come to the German-speaking area of Lucerne where you will get the chance to pass through the Brunig Pass and into the Bernese Oberland. Pass through the Lake Brienz on your way to your next destination, Interlaken.
Ride through popular natural attractions such as the Lake Thun, Simmen valley, Zweisimmenn, Gstaad holiday resort, the Pay d'Enhaut district, Chateau d'Oex and Motbovon villages, and Lake Geneva. After the scenic Lake Geneva sightseeing, you will arrive at Montreux where you will retire for the night.
Enjoy your breakfast in your Montreux hotel before going around the town. Stroll around town to admire the vineyards and the snow-capped Alpine mountains that are surrounded by Lake Geneva. Upon your trips around the town, you may be able to see popular tourist attractions such as the Freddie Mercury statue, the 13th century Chateau de Chillon, the Queen studio (where Freddie Mercury recorded seven albums in), and the Wine Train (a train which takes its guests through the town's wine-growing area).
