Begin your Madrid tapas tour at a popular market right in the centre of the city, the perfect place to cozy up to Madrid’s food scene. Continue your tapas adventure in Madrid and head to a typical beach bar down south, a chiringuito. You'll be introduced to a few fish dishes and learn a bit about sustainable fishing. Then, to help you digest some of the treats, take a walk across the main square, then onward to the oldest restaurant in the world, getting a history lesson from your local guide as we go.
Head to La Latina to visit a traditional Copla tavern. Sample a seafood delicatessen recipe from the north of Spain, along with some organic wines from small, family-operated wineries. Then you will travel to Huertas, the home of the famed draught beer.
Your last stop will be a trip back to the 18th century at the historical sherry bar before heading out to Puerta del Sol; where you can either go back to your hotel or continue exploring the city.
