What To Expect
One of the nine towns of Ifugao Province, Banaue is world-famous and one of the must-visit places in the Philippines. Its Rice Terraces, which are spectacular terraces carved out from mountain ranges some 2000 years ago by the Ifugao indigenous people, are often referred to as the 8th Wonder of the World and declared as a World Heritage Site. On this tour, be delighted by these beautiful stairways to the sky and admire the beautiful countryside, surrounded by mountains and tribal villages.

After a sumptuous breakfast, take a 1-hour scenic drive aboard a local jeepney and pass by awe-inspiring landscapes along the way. Pass by Bangaan Village, which has become a historic site, with many traditional houses still standing. Upon arrival at the top, witness the unobstructed view of the beauty of these hand-carved mountains and the village below.
After lunch, travel back to Banaue and take a good 45-minute hike from the town proper to reach the Banaue Rice Terraces Viewpoint. Marvel at the breathtaking view of the terraces and snap amazing photos to capture the panorama.
Take a quick detour to Banaue Market and see shops offering items created from wood. Wood carving has been practiced by the locals for centuries and they are well-known for their craftsmanship in this art.
When the day ends, proceed to People Lodgewhere you will be accommodated for the night.
Start your day with a lovely breakfast and then venture out into the north western part of the Ifugao province to the Hapao Rice Terraces in Hungduan.
