What To Expect
What's better for a long trip in and around Manila than having a comfortable private van and a driver to accompany you wherever you want to go in the city? Visit Intramuros, Rizal Park, Harbor View, Tagaytay and Taal Volcano, and enjoy the convenience of a personal vehicle at your service.
You will be picked up from the airport or your hotel at the start of the tour. Explore Manila at your leisure aboard a comfortable air-conditioned minivan. Your friendly driver will provide suggestions on which places to visit and will be at your service until 10 in the evening. Visit the city's market, discover its hidden gems and stop to dine at a local restaurant.
At the end of the day, you will be transferred to the Chillout Guesthouse in the city center or to your selected hotel in Metro Manila.
Hop on your private van and travel to the heart of the city to visit the National Museum of the Philippines. Find a vast and varied displays of ethnographic collections and an entire section dedicated to the Filipino people. The museum also features famous painting such as Juan Luna's Spolarium and an altar piece from the Church of San Nicolas de Tolentino in Dimiao, Bohol.
Proceed to Intramuros and take delight in a sumptuous picnic-style lunch in the area. Then, have a fascinating glimpse of the old Manila as you walk the peaceful streets of Intramuros. Dubbed as the Walled City, this historic core of the city is completely surrounded by a three-mile-long stone wall, a protection from foreign invasions during the 16th century. Stroll along cobblestone paths above the city walls, pass by church ruins and other relics of the Spanish Conquistadors era to reach Fort Santiago, where the National Hero Jose Rizal was imprisoned before his execution.
Continue to Rizal Park, a historical urban park situated right next to Intramuros. Also known as Luneta Park, it is the site of Rizal's execution in 1896, which sparked the 1898 Philippine Revolution against the Kingdom of Spain. Pass by Rizal Monument, a masterpiece enshrining his remains which serves as the park's symbolic focal point.
Lastly, watch the bright of the day slowly transform into vibrant yellows and oranges and then fade into reds as you witness the breathtaking view of the marvelous sunset across Manila Bay. After a sumptuous dinner of freshly-grilled seafood at the Harbor View, you will be transferred back to Chillout Guesthouse or to your selected hotel.
After breakfast, venture out into the suburbs and visit Tagaytay, a relaxing haven just 60 kilometers south of Manila. Enjoy the cool and breezy climate in the area and marvel at the dazzling view of Taal, the smallest active volcano in the world, surrounded by freshwater lake. Proceed to the shores and hop on an outrigger boat which will take you across the lake and into the Volcano Island. Trek towards the rim of the volcano along black sandy trails and pass by steaming sulfur holes along the way. Reach the summit and marvel at the stunning view of the Crater Lake and its surrounding landscape. Horse riding to the rim is also available at an additional cost.
Take in the view of the incredible surroundings before traveling back to the mainland for lunch. You'll then travel back to Manila in the afternoon after your pleasantly exhausting adventure.
Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast and spend the day at your leisure. Explore the rest of this bustling city and maybe visit one of the Manila Casinos, the Manila Ocean Park or Star City, or simply spend a couple of hours strolling along Manila Bay. Your driver will accompany you and make sure everything goes smoothly for your last day in the city.
Your amazing 4-day escapade will conclude with a drop off at the airport or your hotel in the afternoon.
