Take a stroll through a subtropical garden that contains maybe all the species of cactus in the world.
This beautiful garden, which also boasts of bamboo, towering palms, and a goldfish pond, was created by French painter Jacques Majorelle in 1923. After a car accident, he went back to France. In 1980, French designer Yves-Saint Laurent bought the overgrown garden and, with the help of Pierre Bergé, restored it to its former fabulous lushness. The Museum of Islamic Art is inside the garden.
How to get there
By municipal bus 1, which goes to Gueliz. The gardens are at the corner of Yakoub El Mansour and Prince Moulay Abdellah.
