What To Expect
Just beyond the candy-colored buildings of the Art Deco District and the downtown skyscrapers is the must-see garden and museum in Miami where the early days of the Magic City are beautifully preserved in architecture and in spirit.
Villa Vizcaya, once the winter residence of industrialist James Deering, was designed as a palatial Italian villa on tropical Biscayne Bay. It preserves an interesting collection of European art and the best of technology.
It is surrounded by stunning gardens and an orchid garden that will transport you back to a Golden Age, 100 years in the past.
And don't miss the views of the Bay from the backyard!
