What To Expect
After entering the huge church, your licensed English speaking tour guide will lead you downstairs to visit the hidden unexpected archaeological evidences of what there was before the building of the Duomo. See parts of an older church, an octagonal baptistery and tombs.
Your guide will then teach you about Milan's most renowned curiosities from the sundial trail, the ritual of the Holy Nail, to the story of the Apostle who was skinned alive and much more!
After exploring the inside of the Duomo, you'll reach the Terraces of the Cathedral by elevator.** Enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view over the city after just 50 steps and you will feel like you literally have Milan at your feet.
You will be given plenty of time to take memorable pictures of the spires, the new shining skyscrapers, the iconic medieval towers and have a closer look at the incredible sculptures populating the Duomo including mysterious animals, monsters and other peculiar subjects.
The tour continues outside after taking the elevator down. Visit the famous Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a magnificent and luxury 19th century shopping mall. The tour ends with an authentic Italian gelato or a fragrant coffee followed by a surprise lucky ritual!
