What To Expect
At its summit, you will be able to admire the Montreal region and 80 kilometers of the St. Lawrence valley. A breathtaking panorama classified as three stars - meaning the top rating - by the famous Michelin Guide!
A common question is how can a structure with an incline like the Olympic Park Tower actually find balance? The answer to the enigma lies in the ratio of its mass: the top of the tower is a mass of 8000 tons which is permanently attached to the infrastructure and to the solid concrete implanted ten meters below ground level that has a mass of 145,000 tons, the equivalent of three aircraft carriers!
You can access the top of the Tower on a mesmerizing climb in a glass encased funicular that can hold up to 76 passengers. This funicular is also the only one in the world that works on a curbed structure; a hydraulic system that allows the cabin to remain horizontal during the two minute rise to the top.
