GREAT WAY OF GETTING AROUND AN UNKNOWN CITY, HAVE DONE IT AT ALL NEW TO US CITIES

ANTHONY

We loved the tour guides and their information that they shared.

Amy

Just a little bad point: we forgot to bring the printed voucher from internet and at the visitor's center they couldn't ...find our booking online, so we had to go to cybercaf竏堋ゥ to print it again more

Liam

Good way to get a feel for the city then go back to do the things you really want to.

Susan

That was perfect, and recommend it to anyone who plane a trip to New-York!

Eric

Brilliant tour guides, very knowledgeable and friendly well worth buying 48hr pass

MARGARET

Enjoyed the 3 tours I did- downtown, Brooklyn and uptown. Commentary was interesting and relevant, guides knew their stuff and get...ting on and off was easy. more

Barbara

great flexibility allowed us to see much more than we expected

Doreen

Great way to see the sites of New York City. Gave us lots of time to come and go and our liesure. Would highly recommend it.

Sharon

A wonderful way for a first short visit to New York. We were on a cruise ship and only had 10 hours to spend in New York. We did t...he downtown loop as well as the uptown one (the one we particularly recommend!). The commentaries were very good and we had a great time. more

FRANCOISE

Found site very easy and straightforward to use. As we have limited time (4 days) in New York in November, we want to do a helicop...ter and unsure what the weather will be like then, so instead of booking that we will wait until we are there. The only suggestion I can make is to be flexi with dates .nKeep up the good work for us tourists, it is so helpful. more

Valerie

Really friendly, very knowledgeable. I loved the tours

Christopher

Guides were excellent and braved some really cold weather too.did Brooklyn as well as uptown and downtown which was a last minute ...decision to do and really enjoyed the tour.FDid not do night tours as just too cold.. more

Adrienne

Would prefer more factual information about sites, not the celebrities who live there.

Janette

Janette

Very good trip

Laureen

A great way to familiarise yourself with New York. Some of the guides are tremendous characters and fill you in on information and... places that would pass you by. more

Tom

Guides should make an effort to better articulate in order to be better understood by foreigners.
Furthermore some of them ...
talk to much.
People in the office are not kindly at all.

I would reccomend the Double Decker Tour to anyone visiting New York. We went on the downtown loop very early on our first full da...y in New York. This loop covered most of the major attractions. Taking the tour helped us to find our way around the city. The hop on - hop off elemet of the tour meant we did not use taxis or the subway as the tour buses were available every fifteen minutes. The tour guides were very informative and all staff were very friendly. We also used the tour bus for the holiday lights tour. The only problem we had was the cold sitting ustairs on the open top bus, which was expected in December but it was worth braving the cold for the excellent views of the city. The tour was very reasonably priced, it is best to book in advance as it is considerably more expensive to book when you are there. more

Marie

Some commentaries were recorded, some in very bad English and another was excellent. Need consistency

Ruth

New York is a very, very big city. A hop-on/hop-off tour like this is essential to see the major attractions and orient yourself i...n the city. more

Brian

I will hope a french speaker or translation with the audio system

AGNES

An excellent way of seeing the city but we quickly got tired of poor and faulty sound systems, difficult to find bus stops which d...id not correspond to the map and were moved with no notification and guides who were so intent on telling us they were part of the service industry and therefore should be tipped that they forgot what being a guide actually entailed. However, all the tours are worth doing and the night time tour is a must. more

Sally

Very useful for getting to understand the city and getting one place to the next.
Be prepared to move slowly,be in traffic ...
jams and have some waiting time at each stop. Easy to walk between the stops for Macys and Empire State. more

Susan

The double decker bus tour of New York provided a great way to see the city. We took the downtown, uptown, and night bus tours an...d really enjoyed the tours and the tour guide's commentary. The frequency of the buses in the afternoons and evenings, and the number of stops during the routes, was good. The only issue we encountered was related to delays waiting for buses in the morning, most notably in the mid-town area, for which we encountered a ~45 minute delay, rather than 10 to 15 minutes as expected. more

Brett

Great way to see the city. The guides we had were informative and friendly and we never had to wait long at the stops. Each stop h...ad at least one person there to direct and help us. We went early November so be warned the top of the bus can be very cold! Being able to stop for as long as we liked was great. The only drawback was if we wanted to sit downstairs for a while to escape the cold you cant see out of the windows very well because of the advertising on the outside of the bus. For a sightseeing tour I thought this was a bad oversight. more

Shelley

Great way to see New York, a bit cold on the top deck, plus the windows downstairs were shaded so not really an option. There was... a long queue to collect tickets at the start which was a negative - should be more staff on duty. We enjoyed being able to move around at our own pace, guides were very good. more

karen

good value price & service. Very professional guide.
The audio system could be improve.

francine

excellent information provided by the guides. Confusion with whether or not you needed earphones. This was not made clear. The bad...ly scratched covers spoil any potential photo opportunities. more

Jennifer

We had a 48 hour pass and were staying in Brooklyn so decided to head for the stop nearest our hotel to catch the first bus of the... day as we had a tight schedule. The first bus sped past our stop on the inside lane. What a bad start to our only full day in New York! The driver of our second bus spent some time spouting his political opinion on a number of subjects. more

Carollyn

We were unable to use the pass on the third day..our problem not yours..not enough time... Bus pass was a good idea but didn'...;t have enough time to do all the loops...most of the guides were very helpful,,,but one in particular just wanted to get the trip over and done and be out of there! Would definitely recommend this to others and hope to use it again when we win the lottery adn are able to return to NY. Also bought a hop on hop offf pass in Toronto but only used it forone day....Guides generally helpful but not always. more

WENDY

I was under the impression that my 72 hour tour included some extras- when i checked in with grayline tours- those extras were den...ied- i called the city tour number and could not receive any help on this matter-
because i believed those extras were included since the website indicated that they were- i missed my opportunity to add these on at grayline- and had to purchase an add- on and pass up the opportunity to see the others- i am very unhappy
more

Wallace, Jr.

1.For the 2 days we were there the wait for a bus was around 3/4 to 1 hr. and this was very frustrating. Should have been more bu...ses.
2. Wanted to do the Brooklyn Night Tour and could not find bus stop at Battery Park.
3. The Tour guide on Uptown bus spoke far to quickly and was telling jokes and suggesting places to eat instead of giving a detailed summary of where we were.
more

Rodney

The bus was not air-conditioned (due to age of the bus) and not pleasant on the hottest day in June that they have had!! Most unco...mfortable and was not able to make full use of the pass (due to the intolerable conditions). Variable tour guides, and did not like the constant soliciting for tips. more
