What accomodations are made for visitors with disabilities?
The Empire State Building is fully ADA compliant. They have handicapped restrooms on the 86th Floor Observatory and also have lowered viewing walls and binoculars. Service dogs are allowed throughout the building. Motorized and non-motorized wheelchairs are permitted. The 86th Floor has ramps to make getting around easier and lowered viewing walls so that visitors in chairs can still take in the view. The 102nd Floor currently has a higher wall, but is currently under works to make it more accessible to all visitors.
Is there a tour or an audio guide available?
Yes, a free multimedia tour mobile app is included with every admission to the Empire State Building. Download the app for free from either the Apple Store or Google Play, or connect once on-site via the free Wi-Fi.
How long does a typical visit take?
You should allow at least one hour for your visit, and slightly more if you will be visiting both the main deck and the top deck.
During peak visiting hours, especially in the warmer months, there may be extended waits to pick-up tickets and enter the elevators.
Can I run or climb the stairs at the Empire State Building?

Proposals are more than welcome and it is recommended that you go Thursday through Saturday nights between 9:00PM to 12:00AM from Labor Day through Memorial Day and 10:00PM to 1:00AM between Memorial Day through Labor Day when the saxophonist is playing.
Everything went very smoothly
been 50 years, loved it
While the views (marked north, south, east, west) were excellent (was a good weather day), I sadly observed that there were NO PLA...CES to sit down. You wait in line to go up the 2 elevators and wait again to go down, as well as wait to get to a good observation spot once on top. I am sure most folks would appreciate if there were some benches to sit on in the spacious enclosed area of the observation deck. If you own a sit-down walker, I would recommend taking it with you on this outing, in order to have some rest for your weary feet.
Of interest to me, I got to hear people speaking languages from all sorts of countries.
If you have a camera extender, bring it so that you can easily take a selfie with the city in the background once you are on the observation deck.
Please note that there are small restrooms (I think it just had 2 stalls in the women's restroom), at the main observation deck area--a good-to-know piece of information. more
