Stand-Up Paddling is a great work out and relaxing way to paddle atop the crystal clear waters of Kailua. Learn how to get up and paddle, and SUP on your own!
Stand up paddle, or SUP, is a fun and inventive water sport that uses a style of paddling similar to that of the outrigger canoe, except you stand upright on a specially designed board while utilizing a unique, elongated paddle! SUP is extremely easy to learn and provides great exercise! Kailua has beaches with a variety of conditions, from flat water cruising, to moderate or choppy and rolling waves. Your expert instructors will gear lessons to be mainly held in the calmest areas and allowing you ample time to practice basic strokes and techniques before departing downwind for easy cruising!
We enjoyed our first SUP lesson led by Ka'iulani. She was very knowledgeable about teaching SUP and Hawaiian culture. We loved her company! We very much liked the whole experience with Kailua Sailboards & Kayaks, Inc. and recommend them for everyone.

We had a stand up paddling lesson, and then went out on a guided tour. The instructors do a really good job at making sure you ar...e comfortable with what you are doing, before you go out into the water. The coastline was so beautiful as we paddled by it. Stand up paddling feels like you are walking on water and it is really a unique experience. more
most beautiful beach in the USA!!! I had such a great day. I really enjoyed stand up paddle boarding, it wasn't too difficult..., anyone would be able to give it a go. it was gentle waves once you pass the crashing waves on the beach, I did go into the surf further out to catch some waves which was great fun!! I also stand up paddle boarded at Waikiki and this was sooo much better than Waikiki. better views, better wave conditions and better equipment. so so beautiful and such a great day. prob my fav activity during my holiday at hawaii. more
