When I first got tickets to the Polynesian Cultural Center, I was a little worried since we would be there all day. Would we find enough to do for 9 hours? Yes, yes we could, and one day wasn't even enough! There were so many incredible activities and performances in all of the different villages, but my favorites had to be Samoa and Hawaii. The presenter for Samoa was not hilarious, but so entertaining, and quite the hottie too! :P I knew Hawaii would be great, how could it not be, but I was blown away by their performances. We also visited Tahiti and New Zealand, but didn't have time for Fiji or Tonga unfortunately. Next visit! The canoe ride, and the canoe pageant were quite fun, and even the IMAX movie which we chose to see as a break from the walking, ended up being very good! You definitely don't want to miss it! The food at the luau was so tasty, and I had a LOT of poke. So much poke. Like, pretty much all of the poke was in my belly by the end of dinner. And although I loved the show while we ate, the highlight was definitely the evening Breath of Life show. It was so interesting to see hula and other dances put to a story. The day was long, but so worth it!

What is there to do during the day at the Polynesian Cultural Center?

The Polynesian Cultural Center is divided into six island villages, each of which focuses on one of the unique cultures of Polynesia, and other special areas. Throughout the center, guests will find exciting demonstrations and engaging activities.

Village of Samoa
Visit the Samoan village for a light-hearted take on some of the island's interesting cultural aspects. Learn to start a fire with sticks, properly crack open a coconut and try your hand at weaving. Watch live demonstrations with barefoot tree climbing and sample some local food cooked on the spot.

Village of Aotearoa
Learn about the Maori of New Zealand and uncover the history of their complex tattooing—you can even get (a temporary) one yourself. Pick up some traditional games and practice your poi ball twirling skills for a fun way to experience the island's culture. Don't miss the exciting haka demonstration.

Village of Tonga
Practice your rhythm with Tongan drumming. This island's lively and energetic demonstrations are sure to keep your eyes wide open. Iafo and other fun local games are available to test your skills.

Village of Fiji
The Fijian village is a storehouse of artifacts; some fascinating—like religious implements and old photographs—and some terrifying—like war clubs and other military equipment. Don't miss the chance to pass through a Fijian temple.

Village of Tahiti
Tahiti is an island filled with music and dance. This village offers new perspectives on the rhythmic movements and colorful costumes that have made Tahiti a famous destination in the Pacific.

Village of Hawaii
Discover the intricate details of hula, and find a newfound appreciate for those who have devoted their lives to mastering it. You'll also find demonstrations and exhibits that explore food, lei making and other cultural elements that make Hawaii unique.

Specialty Shops
Throughout the center and the newly created Hukilau Marketplace, guests will find a wide variety of specialty shops offering products ranging from pineapple Dole Whip to hand-crafted ukuleles. Whether you're shopping for yourself or someone back home, these stores are worth checking out.

Canoe Pageant & Other Events
Beyond the island villages, daily canoe pageants down the canal show off each island's unique dances and costumes, group talks are held to share information about the Iosepa—a traditionally constructed sailing canoe—and food and craft demonstrations add an extra something special to the day.

All day excursion. Wonderful experience. Our guide, Stau, was enthusiastic, fun, and knowledgeable. The different villages, with a...ll of the friendly people, entertainment, and learning opportunities were well done. The luau was good. The Ha, Breath of Life show was amazing. Will go again next time I visit Hawaii. Thanks so much for the experience. more

Don & Mary Smith

Honestly guys, this is a must do when you go to Oahu. You get to learn about the Polynesian culture while having fun! The center huge and there’s lots of activities to do throughout the day. There’s several shows that we’re OUTSTANDING!!! The food at the luau was amazing as well. The final show: HA, was sooo good, it’s a must see. Highly recommend! more

This was a very fun and educational experience. I learned a lot about the Polynesian islands and their different cultures. I would... recommend booking with a tour guide if you would like to see all the villages in one day. The night show finale was the best part. I was pretty exhausted by the end of the day from having so much fun and the long drive there and back. I also recommend setting aside an entire day if you're interested in going to PCC. more

twelve hours of fun and very educational. delicious lunch and luau dinner. great show for the whole family. got our money'...s worth. highly recommended for everybody. more

orteza's of illinois

Our family loved the whole day, the food was as good as any cruise ship we have been on. This is a must on our next visit to ...Ohau. more

I loved the polynesian cultural center. The luau, night show and the overall cultural center were amazing. It was great fun, but... I would recommend the whole day activity because you need that much time to visit all the different islands and their shows at the center. This was my second time visiting the center and I would recommend it to anybody. more

Thoroughly enjoy our whole day at the Center. The activities were great and the luau dinner was wonderful. Everyone we met there... was extremely courteous, helpful, informative, and friendly! Would highly recommend everyone partake of this adventure! more

A unique experience definitely worth a vist while in Oahu.

Our guide was very informative. We loved learning more about each culture and participating in the activities. The food at the l...uau was fantastic and the entertainment was wonderful. The Horizons show was incredible. more

Mr. Anonymous

I truly enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to all who come to Hawaii. Thank you so much for this experience.

Mr. Anonymous

Very entertaining and educational. Was an enjoyable experience. Thanks..

My husband and I brought our two sons to Oahu for the very first time. The PCC was beautiful, and we enjoyed it so much! The lua...u was awesome! We hope to return next year!! more

Mrs. T

My husband and I had a gret time at the Polynesian Cultural center. The tour bus guide "Kemo" or Cousin K was very knowl...edgeble about the cultures, and land legends of Oahu. The tour bus ride was 1 hour 15 minutes from Waikiki, but it went by very quickly. He taught us how to speak Hawaiin properly, a few legends from the Windward side, as well as the local spots. Once in the center, we got to see all but 2 islands (very hard to do as the center is huge) and we went to many shows, the canoe ride, the lua, and the night show. It was a very long and hot day that ended in a huge rain shower, but it was so worth it and we do not regret spening the whole day there. Very educational!! more

My wife and I celebrated our Honeymoon in Oahu, and choose to goto the Cultural Center for the day, including the luau and the sho...w. It was an amazing experience! Each village was unique and the people were so friendly! My only suggestion is to sell caffinated coffee and soda at the Center...since many people are there all day they will need a pick me up. The worst part of the entire day was our bus driver to and from the Center...Loretta. She was boring, rude, and forgot we were on the bus. more

Mr. Anonymous

It was a great experiance. My family and I had a blast. The food was outrageously great!!!! Our guide kouli was great. He gave us ...the greatest tour ive ever had in my life. He had a wealth of knowlege of all the islands more

Mr. Anonymous

it was great and one day is definitely not enough time to see and learn all that is at the Polynesian Cultural Center

Mr. Anonymous

We had a wonderful time.

Mr. Anonymous

What a fantastic all-day affair!! The frequent "say aloha" prompts from the tour guides was a bit much and got old, but ...the actual activity was a fabulous and impressive one. We hope to return to Hawaii someday and will repeat this one. Do be aware that they charge extra for a tour guide, but it is worth it for the first time. more

Hawaii Rookies

This is a wonderful place to visit -- enjoyed with our children and would make a repeat visit.

Mr. Anonymous

A fabulous time! We hired our guide, Mose, for $10 to take us on a tour. Couldn't have seen as much as we did without him! ...Need more than one day to do this attraction fully. more

I felt that this was an outstanding value for the money. The whole experience was not only entertaining but educational as well.

Mr. Anonymous

it was everything i expected and more. the show was awsome, the villiages were great. the food was marvalous. get there early for ...the brunch. its great too. the staff were very knowledgeable and very friendly. they are all natives. our guide was from the netherlands and he was friendly and would go all out for you. deffinatly take the super ambasitor tour. you experience so much more and up close and personal... more

Mr. Anonymous

This is a must see for anyone visiting the island of Oahu! The Luau is a feast and the Horizons show is a spectacular way to end ...the evening. I would suggest that those planning their itinerary, schedule this event on their last night in Hawaii, so as to end with a bang. Also, those traveling with children will find the tour of the different villages to be extremely educational. Remember to bring extra cash for browsing the gift shops, tipping your servers, and just in case you want to purchase that DVD recording of the Horizons show to give the folks back home a taste of the whole fantastic experience! more

Guides are excellent. There is something going on all the time. Too much to see in 1 day. We'll definitely go back. The Luau ...was fantastic and the Horizons show was outstanding! more

N. Lemke

My husband and I spent the day at the Cultural Ctr. the day after Christmas. Our tour escort "Cousin Will" picked us up our hotel and guided us through the various villages throughout the day. It was an educational day and a lot of fun as well. We learned so much about the different cultures, their language, their dance and their stories. The luau was fun and tasty. The Horizon's show was a spectacular finale of the day, the best show on the island of Oahu. I would recommend this experience for any first timers to the islands of Hawaii. And it's true that you can't see everything in one day. I wish we could have stayed longer. Enjoy! more

Elly from Massachusetts

Very enjoyable. Just overall, it takes a lot of time from leaving hotel, to getting back to hotel. Thanks again!

Educational, fun, and very enjoyable an experience the whole family can enjoy.

C. L. Kennedy

Enjoyed the day. Our tour guide was Paina and he was great. Informative and helpful. The luau is pretty standard fair but loved... the evening show. The shows on the various "islands" were fun also. more

Mr. Anonymous

This experience was wonderful and educational. Our tour guide Mon was fantastic and very informative. He took extra time with my 7... year old and encouraged her to participate in activities. The Horizon show was spectacular. I can't wait to go back to Hawaii to visit the center again. more

Joni Giacomino

Great activity for the family. Entertained the kids (7 and 10) as well as the adults.

Mr. Anonymous

Exceeded our expectations. Never a dull moment from twelve noon to the end of the show. Be sure you get a guide. The guest-partici...pation activities were a particular treat -- spear-throwing, poi ball twirling, drums, it was all great fun. And the evening show was truly spectacular. This was well worth the money and well worth the trip to the North side of the island. more

Terry Gordon

A wonderful day - our second visit - and should not be missed. Entertaining & informative. The "Horizons" show is ...fantastic, particularly the Fire Dance. more

Geraldine Robinson

A very good event to go to. Good food, good show and hundrreds of your closest friends

Mr. Anonymous

I had returned after twenty five years and the Center was as good as ever! My traveling companion was visiting for the first time... and thoroughly enjoyed the day, luau and show. A great day recommended for all visitors to the island of Oahu. more

This was quite an experience of seeing how life in the islands would have been like. It is quite different than life today.

Awesome, we are from New Zealand and the Horizons show certainly made us proud to be part of Polynesia

Alan C.

This was our second time and again thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Food was good. Staff/students were quite helpful and the per...formers were certainly talented. Our driver was prompt, knowledgeable and went out of his way to be attentive. We definitely recommend this to families of all ages. more

Mr. Anonymous

We, cannot stop talking about our day. Our guide Melody was more than wonderful. We enjoyed her tremendously, she was so it was amazing. Everyone should visit this location. Everyone was friendly and nice. more

Mary & Ron

The whole evening was very imformative. From finding out that the very program itself helps educates our young to learning about ...other places around the world. I have no doubt that the program has and will continue to offer a very unique learning experience for those that are at BYU and to those that attend the Polynesian Cultural Center for entertainment. All the work that was put into the shows to make them both unique and entertaining comes out in every aspect of the center itself. As we will be living here for at least the next 3 years, when we have guests it will be one of the features of Oahu that I recommend. more

C. White

We really had a great time at the center and learned a great deal. You really need to get a guide to get the most information on ...each village and so you don't end up going in circles or getting lost in the center. The guide keeps you on track and know when the shows are scheduled and the best places to sit. The food was exceptional. Our seats were in the sun and we wish we could have sat in the shade....that was our only complaint. The sun didn't stay up long and we soon forgot about it. Overall we had a really great time and would do it again! more

Mr. Anonymous

Cousin Henry (our driver and guide) was fantastic! He made the trip. Very informative, and spoke from experience. Food was good..., not amazing, but plentiful. Evening show took awhile to get interesting, but then look out! Fire show was incredible. Don't miss the demonstrations before the luau!! We thought the cost was a little pricy, but the experience was just wonderful. more

Would recommend this tour to everyone we had a ball of a time a special thanks to Cousin Leon for making our day special.

Aussie Mel

I was VERY impressed with our tour to the Polynesian Cultural Center. From the pick up in Waikiki, lunch, tour of the 5 island gr...oups, dinner, the evening show and the return to Waikiki, all was done perfectly. This tour is definitely a MUST to learn more about the Polynesian Culture!!! more

This was our second time to the Polynesian Cultural Center, and we still found it highly entertaining and informative.

Great time had by all. Tour guide Milo was terrific and upbeat. Very knowledgeable about the Islands and cultures. Food was del...icious and thank goodness for the children's buffet since we were with a very picky eater. Thank you for a great memory. more

This is one of the few activities that we would do over again. Overall it was a great experience with very nice people and great ...exposure to all of the Hawaiian cultures. Very interesting and entertaining. A must!! more

Mr. Anonymous

Very interesting learning abouth the other islands. Everyone should make a trip there. Great food at the luau. Great Horizon ni...ght show. more

This was great and well worth the money. I would have liked to stay longer in a couple of areas and there were some activities we didn't get to do because of time. I would suggest taking snacks or packing a picnic as you really didn't have time to buy a lunch. At a couple of the attractions you were offered ice cream to buy, but not anything more substantial. Both the dinner entertainment and the Polynesian show after dinner were awesome. Going back a 2nd time, I would go on my own and wander. more

Lisa B.

My family and I absolutely loved visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center while in Oahu. I highly recommend spending the extra mone...y and getting the Ambassador All day package. You will get a very personal tour guide (we had Diliana and she was awesome!) of all the Polynesian villages. My husband gets bored pretty easily and not ONCE did he get restless during the entire day. You are kept well entertained and learn a lot about the Polynesian cultures. The luau and the food was great, and the Night Show was fantastic! Very high energy and entertaining. I highly recommend visiting the PCC ! more

We loved going to the Polynesian Cultural Center. Our guide "Cousin Gumbo" was very personable and informative. The da...y started very nice but we did have rain showers. We didn't let that stop us from enjoying everything. We didn't get to go on the canoe ride because of the rain. Next time maybe we will be able to. We did do fun activities and learned about the different islands and cultures. The luau was very nice and we enjoyed the different foods. The show was fantastic. We do plan to go again and visit area's of the center we didn't get to see. Would recommend for all ages. more

I am just letting yoou know that The Polynesian Culutural Center was soooo much fun!!!!!!! That was the best thing we did in Haw...aii. We were in Hawaii last year with our daughters and our schedule didn't work so well for us to attend. When we went this year we felt bad that our girls had to miss out on such a wonderful time. Everyone working there was so helpful and very nice, and friendly. We are very glad that we did it this year. IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! more

The transportation to the Cultural Center was great and the driver amazing. He was very friendly and the drive was gorgeous - incl...uding a view of the famous 'China-Man's hat'. He was helpful once we arrived as well. We had a great experience on the canoe but wished we would have had more time to actually visit the individual villages before dinner began. I felt like we missed out a lot not being able to visit the exhibits. The dinner was wonderful although we had a toddler with us and opted out a bit early to roam the grounds and get some energy out rather than finish watching the dinner show. The evening show was amazing and made the whole trip worth it. We slept on the way home and were very happy with the experience. more

This was fantastic - recommended by friends, enjoyed by us parents and the teenagers. The dinner was great, with foods I'v...e never heard of living in the lower 48. The shows are well done, and very unique. I've never seen anything like it, and if I have the opportunity, I will certainly return. more

Nothing is more fun than this show on Hawaii. Loved it completely, excellent arrangements, very good timings for each show so that... you will not miss a single one, excellent staffs and lastly superb shows..kudos to them. If you have time, also take the temple trip and visit the church. more

My family and I absolutely loved visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center while in Oahu. I highly recommend spending the extra mone...y and getting the Ambassador All day package. You will get a very personal tour guide of all the Polynesian villages. You are kept well entertained and learn a lot about the Polynesian cultures. The luau and the food was great, and the Night Show was beautiful and entertaining. I wished i had know the we were able to return on the ticket purchased to go back and go through it slower and get to do some of the events. please check out how to return more

One of the best activities we went to on Oahu. The overall experience made a lifelong impression. America needs more Aloha!

We had a wonderful time at the center and the lua was great. We had a tour guide with us that allowed us to probably see more thi...ngs but at the same time we couldn't really wander off on our own to see things that interested us. Overall it was a great day and would highly recommend this activity to anyone. more

Had a great time!! Our driver/guide was awesome. I won't forget him! I can't recall his name because it was extremely... long, but he did an EXCELLENT job guiding us through the island during our drive to PCC. This is our first time to Oahu and he did such a great job in getting us familiar with the area. He was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome, like we were his own Ohana. He made sure everyone knew which luau we were supposed to go to, where the main theater was, and even where to meet up afterwards for the drop off back to the hotel. The Polynesian Cultural Center is an AMAZING place! Theres a 15 minute boat ride that takes u around the center to visit the different villages. The luau was entertaining with great food! The show was INCREDIBLE!! I really enjoyed watching all the dances. Especially the fire ring guys!! We went for the late entry and we thought it was still well worth it! Definitely a must go.. and a must go again!!! more

First timers in Hawaii. We booked the Ambassador package, which came with a tour guide. She was quick to get us from one village to another, getting us good seats. We learned some pretty interesting things from the different villages about different cultures. The food was ok. Nothing to turn backflips over. The "Ha: Breathe of Life" night show was nice. My wife loved it, which was very important. KAP TAFITI, THE SOMOAN GUY IS VERRRRRY FUNNY! Overall great experience! Save your tickets. You have 3 days after to return and revisit villages at no extra charge. We just had to see the Somoan guy. more

Amazing!!! We had the opportunity to learn about the history and people of Polynesia. Very entertaining and interactive. We had th...e Super Ambassador package which basically means VIP. .Had a great time with luau and show. We opted for late day entry as we don't walk very much. We saw 2 villages and shows and... had a leisurely dinner , time to shop and on to the show. Fabulous. EVERYONE WHO HAS NEVER BEEN TO HAWAII OR HAS BEEN AND NOT SEEN THE SHOW SHOULD ATTEND . more

I am so happy that I was able to participate on this activity - it was WONDERFUL! I loved my Cousin Lloyd who was my group guide...... everyone was wonderful, friendly, informative, and very respectful of their responsibilities - portraying to us the visitors a part of history and sharing of their culture. Everyone was funny, attentive and kind. I loved it! I will definitely do this again for my future visits. The Luau was delicious and Ha: The Breath of Life was incredible... too bad the video was not available for me to bring for my family to see in AZ. A big thanks for everyone that makes this possible from funding, to costumes, practices, etc... I truly appreciate all the work and effort involved in this. God bless! more

My husband and I booked the Ambassador package which provided a small group guided tour. DeGe, our guide, was knowledgeable and f...unny. The tour didn't give us much time to see each village but the center is too big to be seen in one day so, with DeGe, we were able to see a little bit of everything. The luau was fun and the food was good. The Ha performance was also very entertaining. Well worth the money for the package. more

Wow, where do I begin? We enjoyed the PCC alot! We were greeted at the pick up point by positive and pleasent staff. When we board...ed the bus we were entertained all the way to the center. Our guide was Cuz Ken and he was very professional and entertaning. The day was full of events starting with lunch and then leading on to a series of islands. Each island had a unique cultrual display of dancing and interaction with the audience. We were busy all day, from 10:30am to 10:30pm. The lunch and dinner were very nicely organized and presented. We were so moved by the evening show "The Breath of Life", we bought the dvd! We would recommend this tour to anyone! more

The shuttle ride fom Wakiki was informative. It was a wonderful way to explore more of the island on limited time and budget. The ...Cultural Center was amazing. The staff went above and beyond expectations. The dinner was just average. I expectected a higher quality of food. Did not go back for seconds so I had more time to explore the Cultural Center. more

I recently visited Oahu for the 2nd time. My first luau experience in 2003 was with Germaine's Luau. That was very fun, but... I felt it was too "touristy". So on my recent trip to Oahu to visit a friend, we decided to try the luau at the Polynesian Cultural Center. I am sooo glad that we did. The whole experience was amazing. We did the half day late entry package (upgraded to Ambassador). There is so much to see and learn about the Polynesian Islands and cultures. The dinner was seriously the best food, along with real students at the PCC performing a show during the dinner. Then the "Ha! Breath of Life" show after dinner was so incredible. The story was great and the performances from all the different polynesian cultures were so wonderful. I cannot stress enough how much I am reccommending you visit the Polynesian Cultural Center and take in everything you can while you are there. more

I did pay for the tour of back stage but did recive it. other then that it was a great package..

I had an absolutely fabulous time. I had a personal guide, Stephanie, and she was great. Assisted me when I needed it. Kept my and took my picture with everything. II was treated like royalty by her. We had a good time, only downside is there isnt enough water fountains around the center because it got really hot.Dinner was good except we didnt get to see the pig come out of the oven. the Night show was good. I probably wont come back here next time I visit hawaii. It seemed kinda too touristy. more

A long day, but well worth it! Even the bus ride was good. This was the best luau experience we had, easily beating out the one of...fered by NCL on Kaua'i, which was very good. It was a hot day, and the line for shaved ice was long, but that is the only negative. All of the cultural shows we saw were excellent and there were even pre-shows for those who arrived early. The food was good (along with another show), and the main show at the end (Ha, Breath of Life) was outstanding. If you are looking for an intimate on-the-beach luau, this is not it. The PCC provides a first-rate experience for thousands of people, and does so with minimal delays and great views from any seating location. I am so glad we went. This was one of the highlights of our entire trip. more

Enele was a great driver and full of knowledge. He also became our tour guide once we arrived at the cultural center. He took us a...round and explained the different cultures and his own culture (Samoa) in great detail. The food at the luau was great with the Kalua pork and Lomi Lomi being my favorite. Poi was actually not bad after all the bad things I heard about it. The entertainment during dinner was great. We even got on stage for a little dance. The show was incredible, portraying the AH of life. The fire dancers were awesome. Overall was a great experience and would recommend to everyone. more

This was a very unique place. It was beautiful. Our guide was very helpful and knowledgable. The night show was the best show I ever seen. My recommendation is to get the ambassodor package so that you have a guide. It is very crowded and somewhat hard to navigate around so having a guide is definitely worth the extra money. Food wasn't that great but was the same as other luaus in the area. Overall it's a must see! more

I have booked the “Polynesian Cultural Center – Full Day Ambassador Package” with Hawaii Activities many times. I have ...always found their voucher instructions to be concise and accurate. I particularly appreciate the fact that Hawaii Activities will leave a e-mail or hotel voicemail message for you reminding you of your upcoming activity and any necessary updated information. The Polynesian Cultural Center is a MUST SEE when visiting the Islands! It is an amazing full day of learning the culture of the people who established the Islands. Each Village that you will visit will provide you with a description of their creation and demonstrate their unique culture through dance, song, and demonstrations. The interesting thing about this day is that nearly every individual who is working at the Center is a full-time student at BYU of Hawaii which is located next door. The money raised from the admission fee to the Center funds the scholarship program of the University which su more

My sister and I had lived on Oahu for 5 1/2 years in the 50s and returned for her 70th birthday. The PCC was not in existence whe...n we lived there but I had visited it with my husband in the 70s. Since we didn't think we would travel to Hawaii again, sis and I decided to go "whole hog" and booked the Super Ambassador package for this outing and luau. To say it was well worth the extra money is putting it mildly! We were treated like royalty from the minute we got off the bus. Beke (from Mongolia) was our personal guide for the day and gave us each a beautiful shell lei which identified us all day as SAs. Beke couldn't have been more helpful - she carried any extras we had (umbrellas, sweaters - you name it), got us ponchos when it started to rain, dried off the seats we had to sit on for performances after it rained; if there was anything to be done, she did it and with the friendliest attitude we could have wished for. We easily could have spent all day at the Polynesian Cultural Center, and definitely hope to go back and do so someday! But for o...ur 6-year old daughter, that would have been far too much. She enjoyed the canoe ride, the tattoos, the leaf weaving, and the poi demonstration. She is still talking about the dinner. Us grown-ups also loved the experience. The luau and the after show were exceptional! Far better than a previous, more expensive and over-rated experience on Maui. I think that if you only do one tourist activity on Oahu, this should be it, including the show. The HA show is WELL worth the price! more

One of the sites that I will never miss out on visiting during my frequent visits to Oahu is the Polynesian Cultural Center. Thi...s is an amazing place to spend a day if you are interested in learning more about the history and culture of Polynesia in a enjoyable and entertaining way. I strongly recommend that you spend the extra money and take advantage of the full day Ambassador Package. It is certainly well worth the extra cost! With it you will spend the entire day on a small group tour given by a knowledgeable guide who will take you to all the different villages where you will learn the history and culture of that particular Island from individuals who actually grew up on those Islands. Following a full day of touring the villages, you will eat a large meal. Here, with the Ambassadors Package, you have the choice of eating at the Luau or the Prime Rib/Seafood dinner. Booked an "Ambassador Package" as it seemed to offer a comprehensive itinerary and very glad we did as it took care of a...ll the planning necessary to view the centre in a day. The prime rib and seafood buffet was as good as expected considering the amount of guests it was catering for. The different cultural villages provided a good mix of information and humour as not to overload visitors brains. Guest involvement in traditional customs such as weaving and drumming was fun. The "Ha" show was excellent, keeping the audience fully focused and entertained. I would recommend the travel inclusive package from Waikiki. Smooth bus operation and after a full day, an opportunity to relax after the event. The guide on the outward journey was entertaining and informative. What really made this a day to remember was our centre guide "Tori". Through all our years travelling the world, she was beyond doubt the most friendly, informative and caring person we have ever encountered in this role. more

We were greeted by our guide who made sure we were in time for all of the activities. She would have us leave a little early to ge...t to shows that were especially popular so we could get good seats. When it was time for dinner, we opted for the prime dining instead of the luau, so I cannot comment on the luau. After dinner we had a few minutes before going to the show. The show was a fabulous way to end the evening. It was a history of Hawaii that sort of reminded me of the Broadway play, "The Lion King". I would definitely take guests who had never been to the Polynesian Culture Center. I doubt that my husband and I would go again unless we wanted to try the luau. Not because it wasn't enjoyable, but because we have already experienced it. About the staff: they were wonderful! We had a wonderful time here. Our driver and escort provided lively Hawaiian music, taught us about sacred Hawaiian land, historic ...places where movies were filmed, and a list of Hawaiian vocabulary. As we got there we were greeted by employees while checking in. We saw every village and participated in some activities. We learned how to dance hula and play the ukulele. We also got to see the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The Luau portion was the best! I have never been satisfied with an endless luau buffet.Food was great but I have only one suggestion which is make sure you don't eat too much because you still need to attend the show HA The Breath of Life. The show was awesome with historic facts of how children were raised with the sense of Ohana in Hawaii. After watching this show my girlfriend and I are aware of how and what life means to the Hawaiians.Ultimately if you are planning on visiting Oahu and was interested in this activity, then don't hesitate to book it! more

We had a wonderful time. If you wanted to have plain good time knowing the Polynecian culture this is a must! You will be spending... most of your day in a ALL IN ONE package, from activities, education, culture, music, language. I don't know about other people but there is nothing to complain about the Luau and this place, the food was good, the show was great, the evening show was spectacular! For those who expect to get drunk and expect a Las Vegas type of show, please do your self a favor go somewhere else, BUT if you wanted to have a clean entertainment and wholesome environment for you and your family and appreciate custumes, culture, pretty and handsome islanders don't think twice of going here. Several reviewers expect a Las Vegas show and almost bear all, I'm a Islander I find those reviews very insulting to the culture of our people, this is a paradise Island, so please leave your mind set behind before coming here. I had a great experience! During the bus drive to PCC there is a tour guide who is really good on entertaining the crowd while gi...ving important information about Hawaii culture. As you arrive there you are greeted by the employees while checking-in. After lunch (i've purchased a nice BBQ buffet) I started my tour, the guide was very friendly and took us to each village and we had the chance to participate of many cultural activities. If you were not able to see all the presentations, don't worry, you can have a small demonstration of each Village during the Canoe Pageant. If you have time, please check the Hawaiian Journey Theater, you will watch a beautiful movie about Hawaii. I was impressed by the size of the theater. There's also a Tram Tour around Laie town and you can visit the Temple. By 5pm it starts the Dinner Luau. There is a lot of different options, and they were all delicious! After dinner there's the beautiful show "Ha: Breath of Life". It's a wonderful production! more

This tour should be experienced by all who visit the Hawaiian Islands. We attended this tour because my parents who travelled wit...h us had participated in it 20 years ago said it was a must see. I knew very little about the Polynesian Culture before attending and the by the time it was over, my family and I were in awh of this culture. We attended with our two children ages 12&14 and they also loved it. Learning about the other countries who are part of the polynesian culture had us asking questions at every turn, participating in some of the games they play on the different islands had us all with smiles not to mention the wonderful show at days end. We paid for the Super Ambassador Package, yes a more costly package but WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!! You will learn much more about this amazing culture and the many islands by having your own guide. Our guide's name was Sepa, a truly amazing and inspiring young lady from the Islands of Tonga. Not only did we experience many of the polynesian islands while at the PCC but through Sepa we were able to learn from someone personally who lived as this tour depicts. We will always have fond memories of our time spent at the PCC as well as our time with Sepa. more

When we first booked this tour it was at the recommendation of my parents who had visited a few years previously. My husband and ...I were originally going to explore the center on our own, however, after spending an hour on the bus with Jermaine (hope I spelled that right) and learning that he was giving the tour, we decided to pay a little extra and join the tour group. Best investment we made on our vacation. Not only was Jermaine knowledgeable, friendly, and seriously hilarious, but he got us to all the shows and we saw more than if we had tried to navigate the center ourselves. Highly recommend this place to everyone, and pay the extra for a guide. Well worth it. more

The Polynesian tour was great. This was our 2nd time going, but our grandson's first. He had a great time. We also upgrade tour and our guide was fabulous,he knew his history of the islands. Everything was just perfect! I had the super Ambassador package with a private guide and I really felt privileged and I enjoyed th...e culture and traditions of the Polynesian people. Every show, every cultural event was organized with great respect and love for the Polynesian natives. I had a dip in the full life of seven similar, but very different, traditions, culminating in the wonderful final show: Ha, a breath of life! I also appreciated the fact that the Polynesian Center is carried out by students of the various islands and that our contribution is to support their studies. This is a great way to spread culture! MAHALO! Special thanks to Clifton, my personal guide. He is a good hearted boy with a deep feeling for his culture and a deep respect for other people. more

Awesome and super friendly tour guide, Keith. Highly recommend this tour to everyone.

Great time, not to miss! Best time !! It was amazing.

A must see experience for anyone visiting Oahu! The Polynesian Cultural Center is an Awesome and Amazing Experience!! Highly rec...ommend to pay the extra for the Super Ambassador Package, We had reserved front row seats for every show and never had to wait in line, it’s well worth it. The whole day was Fantastic! And the best part of this awesome experience was the “Breath of Life" Night Show after dinner was amazing!! I would Love to come back... more

The luau combined with the show was a perfect visit to the culture center. We all enjoyed the show! Amazing seats

Get a tour guide. A fantastic day. Would consider doing it again.

What an amazing time at Polynesian Cultural Center. Everyone was so nice. All the shows were top notch and very entertaining. T...he food at the luau was very good despite reading prior reviews, we thought it was terrific. The "Ha breath of life" show was very entertaining and had us on the edge of our seats. Highly recommend to anyone who hasn't seen the show. The dancers and story tellers are so talented. A definite MUST see on your trip to Oahu. Kudos to everyone at the center especially the dancers and entertainers more

My kids and I found it to be a fun and learning experience. To learn about all the different Polynesian people in that kind of set...ting was great. The food and the show was wonderful. more

So I bought the super ambassadors package which bode well for me, considering the 42 acre mass of land the PCC is situated on! As ...a wheelchair user, probably not the best thing to be doing that on my own! (However massive my biceps may become!) Everything from the bus ride there with narration from Cousin Nox to the personalised friendly tour guide Jarom who was a fountain of knowledge and super nice guy - was an incredible experience. That's just the customer service! The site itself was beautiful, plentiful in scenic, educational and picturesque landscapes, with presentations that made you laugh, applaud stamp you feet and clap you hands! Hands down a great tour and an incredible luau and show to end the night! I was fortunate to go backstage before the show and meet someone of the cast - what a lovely bunch! And to see them in action and knowing their complete and genuine appreciation for U.S. tourists being there, made the show even more spectular and the experience that much more worth while. For sure, I didn't see everything, and I'd definitely go back, especially for another canoe ride! Was so amazed at the level of attention and willingness that was about when I wanted to row the canoe and participate in activities like that.#SuperAccommodating Truly a wonderful and amazing experience I'll never forget xD more

Super Ambassador was the way to go! Loved everything about it, even the little rain shower

Our guide, Clifton, was great. He was knowledgable and very friendly. He was quick with a joke or light comment to keep the hot, s...unny day light and fun. The cultural center was well kept and full of beautiful and informative displays. We enjoyed the entertainment and the food at the luau and "Ha" was beautiful. The dancing was amazing. more

Besides the great time at the Ali'i Luau, and the HA show, the Polynesian Cultural Center has a lot to offer, we start our ad...venture at 12 noon and at dinner time we were 75% done, every island has a lot of to see and do, from the kids games, to all family fun it was great, best Luau and best cultural experience!! more

If you love learning about history, culture and origins then this is the day trip for you. From the smiling and informative tour and coach driver down to the guest. Services staff. Everybody had a smile on their faces and they were there to be of assistance at all times. Our tour guide 'Cousin Mitch' was extremely informative and kept my 6 year old daughter entertained. He got us to all the shows and events on time we didn't miss a thing. The centre is full of vibrant colours and rich history and watching all the island dances during the boat pagent was amazing. It was a long day topped off by the amazing evening show which truly took my breath away, was well worth it more

We had an awesome driver named Allen who was hauling his way to get to the Polynesian cultural center even through the pouring rai...n. Even though we purchased the late night entry, we still had a great time with our tour guide and was able to go to a few of the more larger exhibits. Each land has their own exhibit, or a mini show varying from 15-30 minutes. My favorite was the Samoas. The dinner was a buffet style luau with the hula girls and boys, and the children. Half day is more than enough time to go through the park. There was also a canoe ride that operates every 15 min but we missed it since we were the last wave to enter the park. The show at the end called HA, the breathe of life was an amazing show! more

The park is worth to visit, food just ok but the show at night is so good and make the day worth it.

I highly recommend this event, particularly as a Super Ambassador. The private tour guide and reserved seating were definitely the extra pennies. We partaked in lots of activities, saw all the best shows in best seats and generally had an amazing day. I can't recommend this event enough. more

Wonderful day. Outstanding presentation. Highly recommended to others.

The Polynesian Culture Centre is a definite must see while in Oahu. The true culture of Hawaii and great fun! Extremely knowledgab...le staff and very friendly and helpful. Loved it! more

My friend and I had a great time. Having a personal tour guide just made it that much more special. King, our personal guide, was ...a wonderful addition to a fantastic day. Getting reserved seating at all the shows was excellent. There was so much to see and do and you can learn so much about the different people that make up the Polynesian Islands. I can't say enough good things about King, he was so helpful and nice. The luau wasn't what I expected. But the food was good and the show was great. It made for a long day, but there was never a dull moment. I was hoping to get a shot glass as a souvenir for my brother-in-law, he collects and displays them, so was disappointed when I found out they don't sell them there. So it was very hard to find him a gift. I definitely recommend anyone going to visit Hawaii have to spend a day at the Polynesian Cultural Center. And the Ambassador Package only makes the day that much more special. more

Spending a day at the PCC is always a highlight of my visits to The Islands! Although it is a long day, it is an entertaining and... extremely educational day. I strongly recommend that you take advantage of the Ambassador package since you will have a guide for the entire day and can enjoy either the luau or the prime rib dinner prior to the evening show. I did the luau this year and really enjoyed it. The night show is awesome! more

Got the ambassador pkg and the prime buffet. Most folks didn't get the prime buffet. Really enjoyed our time. For me the a...mbassador package and prime buffet option was really worth it. Even though I had the rental car I took the bus from Waikiki. I think the bus is a must since it was informative and enjoyable and funny and set the stage for fun. Veltra was awesome. I absolutely love this place! I felt like I was at home, surrounded by so many culture. My tour guide "Kilisi" was such ...a doll, she was so Kind and funny. The Luau food was great and so was the "HA: Breathe of Life" show. I always being surrounded by so much culture. New Zealand Island was amazing! I really had no idea of what was in store for my wife and I when I signed up for the Super Ambassador Full Day Package with Privat...e guide at the Polynesian Cultural Center, it turned out to be the best guided tour we could have ever anticipated! The comfortable Motor Coach picked us up promptly at our designated hotel location. The motor coach driver and guide were gracious and told us various facts, pointed out points of interest along the way, and set the tone for the rest of the day that would be spent at the Polynesian Cultural Center. When we arrived the group was given their designated tickets and soon our guide a student of BYU University and from the Philippines introduced himself. Datz began our tour and skillfully navigated us through each of the Polynesian Islands exhibits granting us front row seats to each show, gave us back stage tours, and overall made this one of the best tours I have ever been on! We were delighted to experience the rich cultural heritages of each island group, ate fantastic food at the Luau, and were fascinated with the finale show "Ha' The Breath of Life". Two thumbs up WAY up! Would I recommend this Super Ambassador Package with Private Guide? Absolutely! more

We had a great time at the cultural center and love all the upgrades they have done. Our last visit was 6 years ago and we were p...leasantly surprised to find that the most amazing host ever had just returned 6 months ago, we all remembered her from our first visit. I must say this is her calling and we will be back. Welcome back Miss Sia, your are truly a blessing to the center. Thank you for the special shout out to my son who celebrated a birthday and graduation, that really topped off our experience Thank you to our awesome guides Russell and Sofy (sorry if spelled wrong). The show was amazing as well... I definitely recommend the full guided tour for a full day of fun rain or shine. more

We had an excellent time here. We were picked up via motorcoach in Waikiki at 10:20 am. Our bus driver was hilarious and kept us e...ntertained the hour we were on the bus. Beautiful drive there. We arrived at the center at 1145 and the center opened at 12. I would highly recommend a tour guide! There was SO much to do and see and I feel we didn't get to see even 1/2 of it all due to the center being so big and the small events starting at different times. The Ohana Hawaiian luau dinner was delicious! Pig, pulled pork, teriyaki chicken breasts, fresh fruit, poke, salads, fish, desserts, and so much more! The show during dinner was great as well. Ha, the breath of life is worth every penny! We got back to Waikiki around 11pm. It was a very full but very fun day! more

Loved everything about the cultural center. The food was amazing at the luau and the show was breath taking. Our Veltra reservatio...ns were easy to make and worked perfectly more

We chose the whole day outing at the Polynesian Culture Center and we didn't regret it. Our transportation was on time, the e...scort was very entertaining and informative and the drive from Maui to the Center beautiful. We visited as many island sites as possible and found each different and informative and also entertaining. The water parade was gorgeous. In the afternoon we went for the luau that was extremely well organized. The food was ample and good. The luau that followed was breathtaking. The dances, the fire dances, the costumes, the colors each and every one was superb. When all was over we found our bus that brought us back to our hotel. The day was over but the memories lingered on. more

Amazing! It was great to see how rich and important the polynesian culture is. I learned a lot about the history, arts, music, hi...story and games in Hawaii, New Zealand, Tonga, Tahiti, Samoa and Fiji. The cultural center is well organized and the shows and exhibitions are really neat. The staff member are very kind and polite. The food was delicious and the final show (Ha! We had an amazing time at the Polynesian Cultural Center. We had the BEST tour guide. His name is Chad and he took us around the v...illages and we were able to see all the shows for the day!! He was super informative about the villages and shared a lot of history about the villages. In the evening we went to the Luau dinner which had great food while watching an amazing show!! All staff was very friendly and helpful. The Ha, Breath of life show was very entertaining. I felt that I understood the story lin...e better because I read the playbill before the show started. The other presentations were also very entertaining and educational. One point about the luau buffet, my girlfriend is very allergic to coconut. So I asked an employee if there was anything on the buffet that had coconut. She went back to check on a board in the back and assured me there was no coconut in any item. My girlfriend said she tasted a little coconut in the frosting of the cake so did not finish it. She is OK, and did not have any reaction. more

This was the most amazing experience. I would definitely recommend this. To start with, the pick-up and drop off provided was punc...tual and hassle free. The driver and guide on the bus were very informative and friendly. On arrival communication was perfect and our day went amazing. The Luau dinner was fantastic and definitely worth it adding to the day. The Night Show was the best thing we did while in Hawaii and the seats were great. The guide we had for the day got us through all the main attractions and was absolutely amazing. The only advice I would give is to allow extra time to return the following day (additional entry is provided) as there is just so much to see there. more

Made reservations for the Twilight "Ambassador" package and the only difference I noticed between the "Ambassador&q...uot; and the "Alii" package was probably just the seating assignment at the show, souveniers, and free ice cream desert during the shows intermission. Had a good time but I think the "Alii" package would have been a much better value considering there wasn't much of a difference between the two packages and I think I would have seen a much better overall view of the show. I wasn't able to see much on the other side of the stage because I was sitting to close to it. more

I thought the center was enjoyable for the whole family. I definitely recommend the all day "Ambassador" package. It was... great having a tour guide to take us to each village to ensure we didn't miss anything and arrived just in time to have perfect seating without having to wait. Our guide (Darrin from New Zealand) took our kids to do activities while my husband and I watched several pre-shows in peace and than he brought the kids to see the main show in each village. The dancing parade on canoes is a must see along with the Samoa village. My guide recommended the Prime Rib buffet dinner instead of the Luau Buffet. He said the food was much better, it was more quiet to have a break, and the show was just a mini pre-show to the one we were going to see at 7:30. I am definitely glad we did that and have to agree with him. The night show was spectacular and if you get the Ambassador package you get preferred sitting and ice cream during the show. Don't waste your money on the Super Ambass more

My family and I enjoyed our whole day in PCC. We manage to visit all the 7 tribes of polynesia thanks to our to guide. He was very... courteos and very friendly specially to our little ones. The day went very smooth although the weather was hot and muggy. The food at the luau was good as well as the performances of the girls and cousin benny. It was a delightfull dinner indeed. After the luau, we had 1 hour free time to ourselves to visit the souviener shops and check our photos taken during the day. A bit expensive for an 8X10 picture but we bit the bullet for the sake of remembrance. The night show was splendid. They pretty much showed all the seven tribes altogether and made a fabuluos show. Hula dancers were good, they were great shaking their butts. Men were also good at what they do. They really played their part as a tribe warriors. They added a little humor which I thought was cool such as slipping down the floor and pretending to hurt their butt. The three men fire dancers remind more

I would definately recommend the twilight package. Some of the villages are closed and there is not enough time to do EVERYTHING ...there is to do, but I could not see staying there all day. The location is very clean and organized. We returned to the Polynesian Culter Center because of the fun and knowledge we came awa...y with in our first trip there in 2006. We didn't get to view the complete park our first time do to its size. The weather was a chanllege this time and we saw less of the activites than before. Our tour guide was not up to all the knowledge needed to lead our group, she had been only a tour guide for three weeks. For the price and knowledge you wanted to gather fell far short. The luau dinner was great and the final show was also a great performance! The effort the culter center puts out to make you feel at home, I would recommended it to anyone. more

This was our first time and we really had a good time, the last show was great, the only thing we were not real fond of was the dinner, very simple and I wanted to really see how the pig was cooked in the sand. Was not a full half day tour. Not enough time to see most attractions. Dinner and show only. Upgrade to prime rib/seafood buffet d...oes not include luau setting. Shell lei was not as good as a flowered lei and no rememberance picture taken. Food and show were excellant. more

Very nice, but would have been nice to have our meal and THEN enjoy entertainment (singing, dancing) as it took too long and didn&...#039;t allow anytime to visit the villages for anyone who may have finished their meal and want to see the center more than the canoe ride. food was good, entertainment was good as well....having to manage crowds is difficult, the row by row eating process reminded me o...f being in school, not at a luau. thanks more

Very enjoyable experience, but a long day. The Luau wasn't what I expected. If you are looking for the luau on the beach you ...won't care for this one. Overall a fantastic place. I think overall the package was the best and most unique experience I have ever enjoyed but I think the Dinner timings werent quit...e right and could be delayed a bit and also the staff were kinda urgent towards the end of buffet timings that we really couldnt enjoy the Dinner all the way till dessert. That kinda impacted me not to give 5 Star for it. And believe me you need the whole full day to cover PCC and half day wont do justice for this unique experience. more

great trip out to the Polynesian Cultural Center! very informative and fun at each village.. traveled with family with kids in mid... 20s and we all enjoyed. Overall, the show and activities were really good. However, we feel that there could have been some improvements in other areas. ... First, the people who paid extra to sit next to the stage had to climb a great many steps which had no hand rails, to reach the food, drinks and to use the restrooms. There should be an area for the food and drinks to be closer for those people seated near the stage who paid more money for their tickets. Secondly, after the first time that the our server came to help me with our order, she returned to see if we needed more food, but did not return after that to see if we wanted any dessert or coffee. The dessert and coffee were on another section of the upper level. Third, since I was in a wheelchair, when the show started, I was wheeled in through the back of the stage to my seat. My wife was told that she could not come with me or exit the way I came in, causing a big problem at the end of the show. She was told to go to the customer relations des more

This is the second year in a row that we attended the Polynesian Cultural Center and the Alii Luau. The show is great and the foo...d is probably the best we have had at a Luau. This is probably because the focus is on doing everything possible so that the guest is entertained with a wonderful show and feed all the delicious food you want to eat instead of trying to get you to spend your money on alcohol and then getting you to act foolish like they do at many of the other luaus on Oahu. more

The Polynesian Culture Center was a great experience. The representations of the countries were great. The canoe ride, the canoe... parade, and the activities were very well done. Our guides, Hannah and Saydie were awesome. They really made our tour special, and were very informative. The HA fire show was amazing ! The only thing that was disappointing was the dinner. There wasn't much of a variety. I went back for seconds and there was barely any food left, and no fruit. It seemed that we were rushed throught dinner. I was very disappointed in what I thought would be an "authentic" luau. more

This was a full day. Prepare to be exhausted by the end of it. BUT it was well worth it. We paid the extra to use our guide for th...e day (cousin Cissy) which for sure was the best plan since we would not have seen half of the exhibits and demonstrations that he took us to had we gone it alone. Well worth the extra expense. Cousin Cissy was the best guide - he was totally passionate for his culture and very knowledgeable. He genuinely cared that we saw the best of his people. A perfect day out which ended with an amazing show - a must to see. Our only compaint was the food - it was disappointing and bland. But plenty of it so we did not go hungry. more

Everyone was nice almost to the creepy extreme if you are from NY or Chicago. Big BYU influence may have been the reason for the ...overly dressed female workers. Very child friendly environment. Would defiantly take a young family there. more

We upgraded to the full day, rather than sticking to the late entry. We wanted to have more time to check out the presentations The presentations were interesting and well done. They came over as authentic rather than cheesy or Disneyesque. The staff were excellent all 'round. There were showers passing through, but it didn't take away from our day, as there were plenty of buildings/huts to head into, and showers don't seem to last too long in this part of the world. The entertainment and food at the Luau was good. It did take a long time to get to the lining up and eating part, but there were a lot of people. It would have been better if they started processing the tables through the buffet right after the unveiling of the pig, and we could just watch the entertainment as we went, instead of largely sitting for nearly an hour before anyone started lining up. The HA show was amazing, and I would recommend it too anyone going to Oahu. Overall an opportunity to learn about more

Veltra gave the cheap price, we took a tour guide that helped covering most of the place at Polynesia cultural center

I thought the cultural center was very good. Our tour guide was amazing and would recommend having one. The only bad thing was not... being able to take pictures during the breath of life show and no air movement. Show was great but very warm. Wish I could have taken pictures. more

The Polynesian center is a must see. The Luau was a bit disappointing in terms of the food selection and quantity. The evening sho...w however was Outstanding!! I would recommend make this an all day event so as to explore the entire center. more

wonderful tour had the greatest guide was able to see everything and had alot of good laughs was well worth having a tour guide

Too fast - need to slow down and spend more time on each area

Food was good. Luau could have been better. Very friendly staff.

Be prepared for a long day. Did not get back to hotel until 11pm. Night show was excellent and luau was fun. The food at the luau ...was a bit disappointing. more

Was looked after from the moment we walked on board bus with great commentary. Got to see and feel the great islands. When Oahu would recommend highly as a must see. more

Very good, everything we were told it would be. The performers and staff were wonderful, warm and friendly, however, we were a lit...tle disappointed in the lava. It was not what we expected. It was more like a group buffet. On the other hand the Breath of Ha show was thrilling and excellent. We would highly recommend it. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable day. more

The Polynesian Center provides a learning environment rich in Polynesian culture. I enjoyed riding the canoe and watching the luau.... more

The show was great. But the food was not. The whole tour was way too long. If I were you, I would go just for the night show. You ...won't be regret! more

I have gone many times with family and friends so they can enjoy as I did my first time.mmalways great day this time also, as Iwe ...had private tour guide which was amazing. Reason for one star down is that I paid for mini bus and was transported in large coach which less personal. I admit we had a great driver. Funny informable about trip and culture center. I did pay extra for mini so think I deserve refund for that upgrade. more

Nice day, but a lot to see in a short time. People very friendly. The luau was nice, and the evening performance was awesome!!!

It was beautiful, fun, exhaustive, but very commercial. I truly wanted to know more about the history of the first Hawaiian, but I... was let down on that expectation. The dancers, the show at the end, the luau, the many islands with their respective activities were very interresting and beautiful, though. It's worth it, but dont expect it to replace the viewing of a good documentary. Also, the fact that this olace is ran by Mormons is extremely apparent through many not so subtle references in history plaques, or the simple fact that there was no alcool at the Luau. Still a solid activity, and it was worth it. We had the full day package (110, I think). more

The shows are very good. The night show could be better explained. May be a printed program to explain each dance, the meaning and... connection to the story line. The dinner show is good too . The MC is wonderful but it will be good to have some quiet moment for table conversation and not so rushed to eat. But this is just our view for your consideration. Overall, it was a good experience. more

the package includes 4:00 pm late admission, followed by the ali'i luau (dinner and show), then about an hour break before th...e start of "Ha" (the night show). there's a lot to see at the PSC and unfortunately you don't get to enjoy much of the park with a late admission, so if we'd had it over to do again we would've tried to get a package that let us enter earlier. the luau was really enjoyable, and the food in the buffet was surprisingly tasty! there's an hour between the end of the luau buffet and "Ha", so we went to see the Hawaiian history movie (sorry, can't remember the name of it), which involved 15 minutes of watching gorgeous scenery. "Ha" itself reminded many of us in the group of a polynesian version of "Lion King the musical", but the fire dancing finale was spectacular--definitely the highlight. more

Highly recommended! Also very informative about the different cultures among the pacific island nations. The late HA show was so-s...o though! Beautiful tropical surroundings and professional performers. more

The Polynesian Cultural Center presented shows from the various groups that make up the Hawaiian Culture. The final show was goo...d but too long and the food at the Luau was OK but nothing spectacular. more

You offer few options for lunch -- and then all of a sudden you are paying an extra $20 for lunch after paying a high price alrea...dy for park tickets. Luau food was mediocre -- and they ran out of food and shut down food lines. Night show was great more

The tour guide was a blast but it rained all day so it could have been better.

My husband and i booked this tour pretty last minute and we were so happy we did! We were staying down at Waikiki Beach and got ...the bus pick up service from the Marriott which was prompt and well organised. Cousin Knox was our tour leader and kept the bus entertained and informed for the hour long trip. He was funny and accommodating. Arrived and Cousin Knox picked up all our tickets for the day to get us started. Everything was well explained and we were off with our guides for the day. The guides did so well in the torrential rain which the Centre provided us with ponchos. Some of the activities were busy when we arrived but the guides were able to take us to other areas which were very entertaining and provided us with some insights into their cultures. The luau was very good fun to enjoy whilst eating dinner. Plenty of food and drinks. Well organised tables - we were lucky to get a table in the front. The only suggestion would be to allow more time for lunch. We arrived at the bbq lunch and unfortunately only had 25 mins to eat as had to get to the start of one of the displays. Not enough time especially since it was a pay your own lunch. Overall a great day from start to finish where we wwere dropped off back where we were picked up. more

The Polynesian Cultural Centre consists of the villages of the various people from the surrounding islands of Polynesia. Each vill...age had a presentation which gave an insight into their culture - family and community mindedness. One of the highlights was how to make fire by "rubbing together 2 sticks of wood". There is a lot to see and do so you may not have enough time to see all of the villages. The Luau was great - food, show, drinks (no alcohol though) however we were allocated the 4pm time slot (I suspect the more expensive packages allow you to eat later). Afterwards, the night show was spectacular. Unfortunately, we chose a day where the heavens opened up and continued to rain for the whole time. On a "feel good" note, the centre was set up to employ students from the surrounding Polynesian islands so the money raised helps them fund their education. more

Our guide was very poor.We didn't get to see anything. You need a full day to see everything before the luau. The luau was ver...y poor. The evening show was the best part of the experience. more

I was told this was the most authentic luau on Oahu. The actually dinner was a bit crowded and the stage show was too loud and pre...tty boring. The buffet offered a variety of dishes but I had to eat from the kids side because that menu only offered the vegetarian option that actually had nutritional value. When booking this trip it would have been nice to know up front that the cultural center was run by mormons so therefore there was no alcohol or caffeine available. The night show was worth seeing...very well done...just as good as a play in NYC. Our driver picked us up 15 minutes late then proceeded to wait another 20 for 2 people who were on the list and were not there yet. Because of this we were unable to get the tour of the center that we paid for and they would not issue us tickets to come again some other day. If I could do it all over again I would go the full day, pack food and see the evening show. Probably rent a car and take a break down the street on the beach. more

This has been our third luau. We have been to a luau in Kona and the Old Lahaina Luau. This year my family and I decided to attend... the luau at the Polynesian center since we had heard so much of it. Unfortunately, we were not impressed and actually disappointed. We were treated better at the other two luau's, such as free alcohol drinks and hospitality overall. Your dinner was good, and the waitress attended us well. We were disappoin- ted with the show. I felt I was watching a Las Vegas show and not a cultural, narrative, Polynesian history show. My family and I love to see the grass skirt dances and you had very little of it. We also did not like the auditorium ambiance and everyone running to get ice cream. more

My wife and I were disappointed with the buffet that was served. We were expecting traditional Hawaiian food like Kalua pig - but ...ended up with chicken. On a more positive note, the Polynesian dancing was good. more

The show was great and we enjoyed it very much. The rest of the experience was so-so. Our driver was 30 min. late and we were rush...ed into the park with most of the villages already closed for the day. The dinner was again rushed and we were seated during the end of the show which appeared to have been great. The little we saw of it was really funny. The food left a bit to be desired. But then we went to the Horizon show and it was awesome. I guess when you go to the half day show you're really just getting the great evening show. Next time I'll know to go to some other luau and go to the cultural center during the day to really see what's there. Feel like we missed a lot. more

I had gone to this Luau about 20 years prior and had a very favorable memory of it. This time, I have to say, was disappointing. ... First off, I bought the half day package. I'm not sure if there was a misunderstanding or what, but our driver ( I also paid for transportation) said that our guide couldn't make it, so he took us on a tour when we got there. I felt the tour was rushed and not very impressive. I suppose for the half day, you shouldn't expect much. He then took us to dinner a little late, and we were seated in the waaay back of the line, which makes a difference. The tables go to the buffet in order, so if you are towards the back, it's slim pickin's. The buffet itself was average, although considering what we paid, was below average for the price. I didn't get to see anything of the cooking of the pig or anything about the traditions, again, maybe because I was late. The show, however, was as billed. There were many many different dances, and the dan more

Selected Ambassador package and got a guided tour as part of it. Guide was fine, but we were not able to look around the "vil...lages." Instead, we only went from one presentation to the next, missing portions of some of them, and then it was time for the luau. Interesting, but not outstanding. The facility should open earlier in the day. For the price, you should at least have time to see most of it. Luau food was not particularly good, lunch menu was better, and the "show" during the luau left a lot to be desired. "Ha", the show afterwards was very good, however. more

Were entertained by Walter on the road to the Center. Before arriving Walter "strongly" encouraged everyone to purchase... the lunch buffet for an additional $15 The buffet was nothing spectacular. As an "ambassador package group" we were herded around by Elvis. We started out as the first group but somehow ended by late for all the demonstrations. Elvis was in such a rush to get us in place that he provided very little in the way of cultural information. Supposedly the Ambassador group see only the "highlights". The Canoe pageant costumes were first class but the boats looked "tired". Somoa action was well done and very funny. Drumming show in Tonga really energized the audience. The Luau dinner food was nothing to write home about. The Pacific show was outstanding but could eliminate the pineapple delight - too much - too messy for such a large audience,,,left trash everywhere in theatre. At a minimum you should end intermission with going through the aisles with tr more

Everyone says that PCC is the #1 place to go when you're on Oahu, but I don't get it. Yes, there are a lot of things do there but it's mostly walking around and looking at different artifacts and recreations. It wasn't a big deal to me, especially since most people file all that information under M for "meh" after they leave the place. One thing that really rubbed me the wrong way was that they kept pushing their $5 "Island Deelite" ice cream bowls on everyone, but only after forcing people to sit in 90-degree weather with no shade. There wasn't enough of a gap in between lunch and dinner for me... you can't give people a buffet lunch and then expect them to dive into a buffet dinner less than five hours later, with Island Deelite ice cream in between of course. The after-dinner show was pretty good, but kind of cliche for me and had more of the "meh" factor from before. The main thing that rubs me the wrong way is that the PCC is run by a church, so they don't really co more

Did not like the Luau food at all! Very thankful that they had great ice cream at the concession before the show

Terrible food at the luau. Not very authentic in terms of food or staff. Was like a discount Disneyland but with not very landscaping. A total tourist trap in terms of knock off "artisan" items and souvenirs. However the show HA was amazing. If I ever went back, would only go for the show. more

The food was horrible and the show was okay. We did not make it in time to do any of the activities offered. My parents were all day and enjoyed the activities more than the dinner and show. more

After reading so many reviews, we expected this experience to be great; however, we found most of the evening to be okay at best. ... The prime rib and seafood, "prime" dining, is not good. Much of the hot food was luke-warm, the roast beef...I mean prime rib...although pretty sure it was roast beef, was way overcooked and just gross, and much of the food was slimy and just inedible. There was one hot seafood item which was somewhat hot/somewhat still frozen, and my husband said was disgusting. It was not prime dining. I would suggest skipping dining there altogether. We had some time to walk around; however, most of the exhibits are just artifacts or movies/shows. The Samoa live show was interesting and entertaining, but the videos were boring and I can't imagine what you could spend an entire day there doing (we went late at 4 PM and had plenty of time). The "Ha, Breathe of Life" show was the best part for sure. The show was entertaining; however, it was very long. We went to another luau and show earlier in our trip, booked through the cruise line, and I would say that show was better. "Ha, Breathe of Life" was very long and had a lot of repetitive dancing. They do a part of the show for each Island, so after awhile the dancing gets repetitive. Some aspects were really neat: fire dancing, a few of the dances with props, etc, but it would have been better if it hadn't been so extremely long and repetitive. Overall, I can't say that I would recommend this experience. If I did, I would recommend the show, without eating dinner. Additionally, be prepared to pay extra for everything and have things that cost money constantly offered to you (I understand, it is a vacation destination, but for the Polynesian Cultural Center, which doesn't allow tipping and is all about culture, it just seemed weird after awhile). Next time we go to Hawaii, we will try a luau closer to the resort area, and skip the Polynesian Cultural Center. more

The bus tour guide was great but quite disappointed in the Center. Did not seem authentic Polynesian at all. The best time was t...he fire dance part of the show. The rest I could've skipped. Didn't feel like I learned anything real about the different cultures which was disappointing. more

Positives first...the Show is Amazing! I personally enjoy the show more than any Luau I have attended on Oahu. As a former res...ident and frequent visitor to HI....this has always been one of my favorite activities to visit and bring friends and family......sorry to say that the late entry does not allow you to do anything but attend the Luau and Show...there is NO time to do or visit the other activites....very disappointing.....not sure the Late Entry should be an option at just want to got to the Luau and Show, and it should be advertised that way. more

For little kids would only do it once in a lifetime. Luau was really good though

It was fun seeing the different Polynesian cultures, but it was a bit too long of a day. We checked in at noon and didn't le...ave the grounds until 10:30 at night. You walk around the stores and different villages that are set up, then you have your luau, which is a buffet. That was nice. When you are done with that, you have 2 - 21/2 hours to kill before the show "HA- breath of life" (which was very good). It would have been OK, but the villages closed up, so you had nothing to do before the show. We had an OK time. more

The bus ride to the Polynesian Cultural Center was ok. The guide who spoke most of the way there was not very entertaining. He pass on a few useful tidbits, but not many considering he spoke for almost an hour and a half. The guide we got at the PCC was difficult to understand and was apparently supposed to shepherd about 20 or 30 people around. Since you had to be very close to him to be able to hear and understand him, most of what he said was missed by most of his charges. He led us from presentation to presentation for 2.5 hours, then, as he sent us on our way to our dinners, he gave us maps of the place. It would have been nice to have a program or something to explain what it was we were seeing in these presentations. The Luau was just ok. Waiters were passing out drinks in pineapples to select people...I was unaware of any offer of those drinks. I assume there was a separate charge, but I have no idea. The food was mediocre and the show after dinner was not much better. Then we went to the main event...HA, breath of life. Once again, we were not given any explanation of what the performance was showing us. A brief one-page synopsis would have been extremely helpful. Overall, I was very disappointed with this tour! more

It's a mixing for all the polynesian shows from each countries to a made-up area where you can see them all at one time. All ...the shows were well made and prepared, but you have to time and manage the priority to make sure to see them all in one go. It's great for those who never seen them before, but we did see similar from other countries, so it's not that exciting. more

Make sure you are aware of everything that goes on. Do not take the half day or late entry. You miss out on all the activities. ... Don't let the guided tour fool you. The rude drive told bad jokes, gave no information, then turned you loose on the cultural center. Did not explain that certain shows were playing at certain times. we were lucky to catch one of them. Better to book on the island. The show itself breath of Ha was great, and the food was suprisingly guite good. If you want to experience everything go for the whole day and drive there. more

The concept of buffet here is not the is limited, the buffet is one trip no seconds. The activity conclude...s with a nice show that lasts 1.5 hrs really late at night, after a long day. Would definetely not recommend, just a tourist trap sponsored by the Latter Day saints church more

My friend and I were unable to attend as we both ended up with pneumonia the day before. We called Veltra to attempt to obtain our... money back but unfortunately the company was unwilling to accommodate our request. As much as I understand company policy, I believe accommodations should be made in the name of customer service when it comes to something unavoidable like illness. Trust me, my friend and I were on vacation, we would have preferred the luau versus pneumonia for the remainder of our trip. more
